There wasn't any point fighting the PASRs for Razors, so we jumped over to get Coming Soon first thing. Of course, some boarder ski patrol just HAD to pull out their fucking entitlement card and rip the fresh from edge to edge, asshole! Nonetheless, first run down was a nice, fresh coating on top of packed cord. Even felt a slight float on every elongated turn. First run down side of Razors there was still enough fresh left for a fun run. Subsequent runs down there were patches of ice coming through, so you had to be on your toes, literally! Like other, Main Street was wonderful, as were the sides of pretty much every trail, having the fresh pushed out from the middle. Spent the morning tooling around the mountain with Santa as one of his cheerful reindeer. Merry Christmas all!

Planned on only sticking around until 11 or 12 but kept going until 2. Lazy was great first thing as was Main. Happened to be going down Paradise when I saw the rope gone for NWDW. Cookied up in spots but still a lot of fun. Happy to finally get on Freefall.

Arrived at 8:51 Driving was a bit more sketchy than I anticipated. Temps in mid 20’s . Dress and dash. There was a line on the Challenge express so I headed to the quad . Well the quad was delayed so back to Challenge. I wanted to hit Razors and it didn’t disappoint. I hit the quad hoping for some quick runs on razors but it stopped 3 times. I watched Razors get carved up so I hit TCS and it was barely touched. As I got to the steep section I set my edges harder and could feel some cookies. I hit the side country up top and noticed the ditch was looking good just after the top section. It was really nice and I just hung there for the rest of my short time I had today. Bailed at 10:15 Shout out to the kid with the motorcycle helmet and the Rossi’s older than mine.He did a great job ripping the ditch. Also Santa was there and he was on his game!

First half hour just made you smile...Things on the Razor side lasted bout an hour...MS side held up better...Conditions the past few days have been fantastic... Driving in I got behind a dude in a C5/6 Corvette....Guy had some skills and never looked outta shape drifting it for miles...

Got a couple hours in to close the place out. Wasn’t crowded and the conditions were pretty incredible with the warm up.

I had negative time but the first runs were the best of the year. Little crunchy under razors but main was a dream where you can just attack attack attack. Around 10 it started to get busy and razors and such didn't hold on well but main I thought was definitely worth getting chewed out and.......

like the Elk news got old, and someone needs a new rumor to spread around?

KSLs poured a lot of dough into the place so far. No way they're backing out now.

Main St continues to exceed expectations. I don't think they need much more snow to get everything open. As expected, Nmdw did not open at 10. Tbh, didn't look that great anyway.

NMDW is supposed to open today at 10 am. With no features. Best news ever.

I'm back from another fun morning at Blue the True. I arrived at the lower lot at 8:15am and it was 2 degrees with no wind and bluebird skies and nary a gun blowing. In the house was Harold, Gary, and later Atomic. Rolling the dice that they would have Coming Soon open, Gary and I headed to the quad and lined up at the VIP lines, only to have them CF them up at the open, with the attendee holding the iPad but saying he didn't have the iPad. WTF?? At the top of the quad, we saw a couple helmets heading towards CS, but then turned around and went right? There was only the Experts Only sign and we continued to find an edge to edge field of baseball sized cookies. We continued on and at the slight right turn, the snow turned to groomed, chalky goodness. Ended up having the first civilian run down Coming Soon for the year and it was spectacular! Back up and down Razors which also had fine snow with some breakup in the middle section. Main Street still had wonderful snow and was virtually empty, probably because everyone was on CS and Razors. Ran into Atomic and rode up with him a couple of times. I think he went off to check out CS. Did the tour and they seemed to have dusted all the trails, but there's still a glacier at the bottom, middle of Chute, beware! The didn't blow any more on lower Switch; disappointing. However, there are gigantic whales on Nightmare/Dreamweaver. The groomers have their work cut out for them! Challenge has gaps, but there may be enough for a WROD on the left side for the holiday week. No guns were going at 11am when I left, but I see they have them back on on NM/DW and what looks like Sidewinder now. JADIP

Understatement of the year... Fortunately, my goggles are really helping with it. Changed from rose lenses to yellow and it was a huge improvement. Found another shot. Not sure where it was hiding before.

Does it go inside the water park?! Nothing would surprise me there.

Day 12. Christmas. Crowds about like a Sunday. Fog pretty bad on and off. Mountain not entirely open, but close.

Long time to be stuck in a gondola. You know someone probably farted.

Pure speculation on my part, but I bet they are having some major issue with the indoor waterpark lift. I can't think of any other reason they wouldn't have had the guns on at all down there. No reason to blow snow if you can't get the skiers up thWebcam. I did happen to catch a bunch of vehicles (couple pickups and a few UTVs) all parked next to it amd a bunch of people milling around it the other day on the webcam.

winter park gondola had a huge crack yesterday in what looks like a high stress point. Over 100 people had to be evacuated by ropes
