Went back to the Snodgrass TH to do a snowshoe and tire out my pup before I went skiing. The usually have a classic xc ski track in pace but didn’t this time. There was a semi flat/groomed (but choppy section and I figured the Nordic skiers would want to use that. I didn’t want to put my snowshoe tracks in it so I stayed to the side. Only did about 3 miles but my legs were tired walking through the deep stuff. Hopped on the shuttle and was at the mountain at 9:40 (late for me). Town was socked in fog this morning but the mountain was clear, as was the hiking area. Red Lady lift looked crowded and I skated by and had no line at the Silver Queen. Lift stopped 3 times that ride. It had been down for several days a week or so ago. Think Vail is probably going to have to upgrade it. Headed straight down to Paradise Bowl. Looked gorgeous in the sunshine. Stayed mainly on Paradise, then headed over to the Umbrella bar for a huge glass of water and did some runs over by the Gold Link lift. Left at noon, legs were getting tired. While I was gone the snow guys worked their magic and I now have a parking spot again. Saw lots of dump trucks in town full of snow. If you want to ski 30 minutes, great. If you want to ski 12 hours, great. Measuring the length of your session is like measuring the length of your junk. Nobody cares, but its great that you got a chance to get after it.

There was until last year. They said they took it out because of logistics. It was down towards the patio of Slopeside, but on the snow, window facing uphill. So when a line formed it messed up the flow on and off the snow pretty good. planning to head up after work. Don’t ski all the snow off, @RootDKJ!

Wow, easily the best day of PA skiing I have had this season. Cant believe my daughter Amy made it down this without a spill and went back for a second go on it - wall to wall large soft natural bumps - along with 15 other runs. She love the mashed potatoes and it was a blast. No lines. Nicest lodge facilities of any place in PA (better even than Bear Creek or Big Bear, and this pla e also has terrain worth skiing). Super nice people with a southern feel. Great views. Bluebird afternoon. Well worth checking out. Will post more shots later.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun evening session at Blue mountain the true mountain. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, NMSki, Indiggio, Beau and a few dozen others. Temperatures fell through the 40s into the 30s and there was an almost full moon and nice sunset. I first skied Razors which was smooth on the top and bottom sections with some stiff chop in the middle. Sidewinder has some last rays of sunlight on the top section and then choppity chop chop and air was easy to catch on the falls. Paradise was pretty nice and lazy mile was the run of the night and I ran that the most. I also took one run on Main Street which was firm. I had a nice variety of beer in the lot thanks to Law, Ajeff and Indiggio and was able to pawn off my leftover low octane 6.2% beers from the weeks to Beau and Brunette chick who I have seen for years. All in all was fun times even talk of Beaus famous Jell-O shots which I had a few years ago and I didn’t trip balls. JADIP and good music while stuck on 22 earlier

If you are going to move hotels based on weed legalization, NJ would be the last place to go.

Yeah, I'll agree with Salty and will even sign a petition. The stats are fake unless they measure the actual hours on snow. It's fine to say that you're above stats in general and don't log them at all, but if you do, at least make it fair.

Word is this is going to pass. Murphy campaigned on this being a priority and can't afford the bad PR if his team can't get this milestone accomplished. They wouldn't of advanced it if they didn't buy enough votes.

I took my 5 year old down the lower third of valley school (first carpet segment) 7 times last night and went home. still counting it as a day.

Ugh. My niece’s baby shower is the 7th at noon in New Jersey. I haven’t committed to the shower yet for this reason.

They will close the 31st and reopen the next weekend unless the weather is just awful. They gotta sell the hype.

Website says pond skimming 3/31, last day of the season. Would be great if the reopened the next weekend. I was there today, not many people there. Bottom lodge bar is closed.

Getting back on topic, it's Salty's favorite kind of snow this afternoon. Wet, soft and buttery, whipped in so many places. 6 is running, 4 is not. Dead quiet.

That’s not gonna happen with Moe Ghoul skiing everyday and you did a lousy job keeping track of stats this season. Ding ding ding Freshman!!!
