GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 14, 2016 Report Share Posted December 14, 2016 Hey All, I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the upper lot at 7:40am and the temperature was in the upper 20s. Atomic Jeff, TP4, VTMark, Root, MBike Mike, Mrs Snowbunski, Rodney, NMSki and Carve the blue mountain mascot were all in the house. First run on vista to midway to lower Main Street was fast and first civilian chair..there were smooth areas choppy areas and empty areas and busy areas but all in all was decent opening day condition I can't complain..I'm just happy I remember how to ski since its been about 8 months. Had some parking lot beers with root and NMSki and TP4 and VTMark after about 11-12 runs was a fun first day I'll likely be out after work tomorrow for more shredding the gnar. Barney's were typical, hard and icy, but skiable. With no warmth to speak of, not surprised though. Legs definitely feeling it after about 15 runs through them... Light really sucked big-time in the afternoon and they refused to turn the lights on early, probably to save some coin.
