  2. Nice, I'm hoping for like a super rich lady with like a driver and shit type character. I think that could really round out our cast of characters and add a really interesting perspective. Like pinky up, drinking ipa's from a china cup and plate. See I love this kind of shit....one random Monday night at like 830pm, totally empty, Edge, The dude and I are hauling down main st and about 3/4 of the way down is a hippie looking semi-hot girl "skiing". In reality she's going about 20ft to complete explosion, at first I thought she was fucking with us, like who loses skis, hat, gloves going that slow but on like the 400th time we lifted her back up and got her going we realized she's like on the ninth moon of Jupiter. Xanax, paint thinner who the fuck knows but this bitch was high as fuck. Eventually we got her to the double double....two days later the dude says she came back the next night and the cops had to come she was so fucked up while trying to buy a ticket in the upper lodge. Blue is just like this site....what a perfect collection of fucking weirdos

  3. This but really how hard is it to stay on the moving couch..... I like how every year it's the same shit but peeps still show up expecting something different, stop fighting it and embrace the shit show that is blue sometimes. Early season is always questionable snow, kooks fucking everywhere doing all kinds of irrelevant shit down lower main, long ass poorly organized lift lines and season passes that only kind of scan. It's the magic that makes Blue Blue, best terrain in eastern PA, excellent equipment with people that only kind of know what they are doing. Shit is good, embrace the bs.....I mean beers in the lot are actually what early dec skiing is all about how stoked can you get on repeat laps on midway to lower main minefield.

  6. It's part of the hazing process. Phase 2 is cleaning GSS car with a toothbrush while dressed like Alice from the Brady Bunch. I won't even tell you what phase 3 is.

  11. The BMR racers at Blue always had a sense of entitlement. Blame the parents..the BMR parents always drive like a bat out of hell on the way to the mountain...the one guy was tailgating me..sorry Charlie I was trying to pack a bowl not gonna drive any faster..gosh

  12. Yes, Blue really took a shit on the entire lift debacle at the doubles yesterday. How could they run a mountain for so many years and not know that they need to open both ticket gates at the doubles, especially after having a snowstorm on Saturday and knowing full well that that's gonna bring out the crowds on Sunday? All they needed to do was blow a bit more snow and groom the existing snow to open up the run under the doubles to the Burma side and lines would have been far more manageable. When Dave was down checking out the debacle, a few told him to get the groomer our to try to open up the run. His only response was that "They didn't have anyone to run a groomer". Well, if you're "professional" ski mountain managers, why didn't you already have this situation taken into account and handled already? Blue's operations management sometimes leaves a lot to be desired.

  13. They've been there a long time. Seriously, if anybody is in the area and wants a tour (and a beer). I'll be happy to show you. I can usually be found at the first seat of the bar at the line to enter the restaurant. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  19. i just couldnt believe that someone of a lower skill set than me on the mountains would have the nerve to tell me how to ride the lift. the scumbag should have been taking advice from me

  20. If they were gonna open that trail as a natural snow only trail, they would need to name it "stumpy".

  21. But if you had a good day what was your justification for giving you a refund? Thats what i cant wrap my head around either. I'm just gonna leave it at that. I doubt that they will let that happen again. They did screw the pooch on that one there. I know everybody here knew it was gonna be a lift line shit show with opening upper main, lazy, and the "snow in the backyard crowd". I didnt like standing in line for our last two runs, and it turns out that would be considered a short wait. I went to the parking lot. Sure would like to have skied more, but, again....its December 10th. Limited Terrain. Next weekend will be different.

  22. Both are real into it. One is advancing a bit faster and she was the one with me today for a "daddy daughter day", as it was the other one's turn for a "girls day out" shopping and dining fest with grandma. About 4 times a year we split them up for some 1:1 time and today was such a day.

  33. that makes a ton of sense to me. Nobody else is open midweek, and all they will run is two lifts. seems like a no brainer to me. I was thinking about skiing Friday, but thats Christmas bonus day. Might not be the best day to take off.

  34. Yesterday SaltyAnt tried to cut the line by going in the season passholders line..I said that Barb said it was ok. Well the gate attendant sent him to the back of the line and since salty doesn't like to skate and poll he took his skis off and walked to the back of the line..great stuff. Standing in that line is a lot better than being at working feverishly typing on PASR between customers calling to inform us that it snowed

  37. Yeah, it was weird - did 7 or 8 day trips with my daughters and all of them were to the catskills except one to Elk. Started at Hunter on black friday - my first time there - and realized the drive was manageable. Did hunter 3 times before X-mas, including a powder day, then was told the crowds just get worse and worse after new years, so we switched to Belleayre and Plattekill for a day. Last year they just kept getting snow, which made it worth it. Tree skiing at Belleayre is pretty damn solid if there is snow, same with Plattekill, though our day there was kind of a bust. But it was odd not to spend a day at Blue or Jack Frost....not sure the conditions will warrant the extra drive next weekend, so most likely will end the streak. Seems to me the only person I've met IRL here is Moe Ghoul when I bought a case of beer from him. Maybe I'll end that streak as well.

  38. There'll be a lot of terrain open next weekend at Blue I'm guessing between 1/2 and 2/3 of the mountain. Probably paradise and challenge will be open

  39. As for SaltyAnt getting his money back in the form of a gift card..it's a situation of the squeaky wheel getting the grease..they still got his money and Blue has another chance to prove themselves to him.

  40. Was particularly cool at CB to note that my 10 year old daughter was skiing better than at least half the people out there today. Just zipping swiftly and stylishly around all the out of control fools, both the ones who were on their board/skis and the ones struggling to get back up.
