Or just post everything in the camelback thread so I can ignore all of it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk5 points

I thought conditions were pretty nice today, plus got to take a ride in MBikes truck. There were some lift issues, but with the ride up to the top, it didnt really do our day in by any stretch. I didnt wish at all once today that i was skiing at camelback. have a nice evening.4 points

Well, the year's coming to an end, so I have to get the final dings in. I'm also drinking Arrogant Bastard at the moment. Also, while we were waiting for the quad to get going, George calls Blue to ask them if the shuttle is running. They told him "No, it won't start running for a few hours, why?" George tells them, "Well, both valley lifts are down right now", to which the Blue person replied "Really?"3 points

Fuck that noise. I just saved him like $300, he should bring me a six-pack of coffee stout.3 points

I just set salty up with the best deal he will find this year. Shit or get off the pot time.3 points

I use headphones to tune out non-pasr people on the lifts. The bar has superior hydration benefits.3 points

Might consider it another year. For now the 4th/5th grade ski passport for kids is good no more than 3 days each place so it enforces hopping around. Most tempting pass is actually Peak one with Frost / Hunter / Snow. Put a HSQ on East at JF and they would sell me one of those. Main reason I chose Blue over CB today is only CB is open tomorrow. Was happy with my choice though3 points

It's not icy here, and so far Lazy is such that I wish I had somewhat wider skis. Hey saltyant, they did a full bypass for SP holders at the lift, so you can ditch Montage and start thinking Blue again3 points

Buy them now. No reason to dilly dilly any longer. You loved 'em, Root found you a great price, just do it. Your biggest problem is going to be finding a fake ID to get into the beer store to buy Root his thank you sixer.2 points

I don't like when they're too active, I can't keep up and then my ADD kicks in and I have to go do something else until my OCD kicks in and I have to come back and catch up on all the posts I didn't get through the first time.2 points

Sure. I have bought plenty off GearTrade.com, and Skibizz is a major retailer on there. Make them an offer for $500.2 points

Blue was pretty good this morning except for the lift delay. Other than that, conditions were great. Sidewinder opened, Chute opened, Xing Opened. New trails, firm snow. Goos stuff. And got the 40th anniversary chair on the 6er. Happy Holidays to everybody!2 points

Now that it's open I'm gonna have to keep an eye on their Facebook for the butthurt to start flowing.2 points

I was just messing with you. Back on topic though, you should seriously be able to put those bindings together yourself. I don't even want to say "mount," because you're not really mounting anything. The rails are already mounted, and you just have to slide the two pieces on there. Setting DIN is just a turn of a screwdriver, and forward pressure isn't hard to set with a bit of googling. I'd take mine in for mounting if they had to be drilled and stuff, but these, no way it's worth paying for. Incidentally, if you were stuck on the 170 instead of 177, don't mind used and 2016 gear, these are killer cheap too: http://www.powder7.com/Volkl-RTM-81-Skis-170cm-Used-2016/for-sale But comparatively, $529 for brand new is a better deal.1 point

Unfair! I would never defend Camelback. I'd much rather read and be part of an active forum than a stagnant one, even if the active one comes with a lot of noise. It's basic operant conditioning: people come back for new content. Enough visits with no new content and people stop visiting, or else there are like four people who ever post and it becomes an echo chamber. Plus you're right, I DO enjoy tuning my skis and working on my bikes and I don't suck at it. You wish you had my skillz.1 point

Trust me bro, my “not fast” is a couple of standard deviations to the right of you. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Happy holidays though!1 point

No, I'm not a handy person. Since mounting bindings is a one-time thing, I'm fine letting the shop do it. Now with my bike, I learned how to tune gear-shifting from watching YouTube videos because the damn thing always gets out of alignment and I got sick of going to the bike shop all the time. If I screw that up, worst case scenario is the chain pops off at low speed and I fall over at 2 mph maybe. Now compare that to doing 50 mph on skis and having the binding come off.. yeah, no thanks.1 point

Yeah I definitely would take them to shop first, even if it costs extra. I don't understand how all of the DIN settings and tuning work.1 point

Get some mid fats for the choppy snow...Slalom skis sound terrible for the conditions we experience the most..sugar, cookies and apple sauce.1 point

I am not asking you about CB or your mustard preferences though. I asked about skis. And probably, it just might be so, that others would support that kind of conversation better than gloating over broken expresses from the top of the Stevenson lift?1 point

Got to blue at 735, Jeff, toast, and jfDan in the house. Walked to six pack and told it was closed for a broken wheel. Mai. Street chair was running but blue didn't rope off runs down to six pack smh. No shuttle to top either. Loaded skis and people in mbikeskis truck and my car. Drive to top. Got 2 runs in before six pack started up again. Soon six pack broke down. Quad lines were mostly not bad but at times got past the scanners. Sidewinder opened today. Very thin edge to edge cover, but all good, just glad it's open.1 point

No kidding here. Demo & then buy on day 1. Cheap binders is nothing to put on new sticks.1 point

They better get the lift situation fixed by Tuesday when the real crowds come out.1 point

I skied a few runs with Sally on Friday, she skis well and is an all-around cool cat. She just has to get a little more aggressive on the slopes and attack the mountain; show it who's boss!1 point

You only have one chance to ski on 12/24/17...id ski tomorrow if I was back in the A. Don't think I would have skied today..1 point

Yup do you know any French??? And I'm happy my words got you an extra night on the slopes. Atomic Jeff has called me a pussy before because I didn't wanna ski cause I was tired or party rocked too hard and then I said well I'll just go skiing and had a great time. I don't think I've ever had a bad day of skiing. I know you haven't met Johnny law before because he just came back last weekend but he's a true hero. Could be the worst conditIons and he'll just say it's spicy..also NMSki inspires me because he's so happy when he skis..always smiling..I like that.1 point

Actually I attribute a lot of my recent decisions to you. When I was stuck on the turnpike at Quakertown, I was going to turn back. Then you said something like "so what, you ski 3 hours instead of 4. YOLO". That post changed my mind and I ended up having a great time at Blue.1 point

for real. i got boots. not sure if i can put off skis till i try a bunch out. now that i dont ride 10-2 park laps I have no idea what ski to get on. I think you should wait till demo day salty. although youre not at blue...why arent you at blue lol. oh well. Im waiting till my next billing cycle to get skis.1 point

I know what it's like to be burning to get new equipment, but it's really too bad you can't put it off until late season. Buckmans has a demo day scheduled at Blue for Feb 21 where a bunch of manufacturers show up with tents and skis and you can demo all you want for free. They had on in Jan last year at Camel but I don't see one on their schedule yet.1 point

Sure... as long as they install a large body of water at the base of Corbetts for me to land in. will a large pile of your own shit work?1 point

No but Thursday nights in the blue mountain ski patrol top shack is corona lights and blindfolded circle jerks...it's. It gay if you don't know who you're jerking.1 point

Indiggio was super nice and we skied a couple of runs and he gave me some great advice on my stance. I think I met Tarpon, too?? God, sorry I got a bit lost trying to remember screen name and real names and I was operating on about two hours' sleep.1 point

spent two hours at nestors earlier today. Almost bought chronics but wanted to look around online a lil more.1 point

Ride the lift up to the fucking top of the mountain. Take the fucking water slide down to Uncle Bills, then hop on the fucking mountain coaster, and be prepared to jump off at Sullivan Trail. This is the Circus that you signed up for. Oh, by the way, both the water slide and mountain coaster are double blacks, so you are good to go. Dont forget to turn on your go pro.1 point
