I can't believe I'm admitting this publicly but I'm not gonna lie. Apple's announcement yesterday has me thinking hard about making the switch from Android. The amount of phone that you're getting for $399 is insane. Plus the security and all. Damn. Only possible deal breaker is that the design is severely outdated.

the valley is a bagel-starved place. i knew nothing but prepacked sleeves of bagels growing up. there's a place in margate (two locations, actually) called "Hot Bagels" that makes a bangin jalapeno bagel with horseradish cheddar cream cheese spread.

Nice lines. Those storm drains bother the hell out of me. What water do they collect? Your whole hard would have to be a lake before they took in any water.

Before this plague I was going to Manhattan bagels pretty often. I like poppy, sesame and everything bagels toasted with butter. I’ve never been a cream cheese fan. Bacon goes great with bagels as well

I'm a fan of this series. I posted it on Random Thought Thread a couple days ago. The only downside is it makes me want to be on mountains.. Comparing the recent videos to the first 10, the sound, picture quality, and drone footage really improved.

I have the iPhone 11 Pro (the "smallest" iPhone that Apple makes besides the new SE). The photos are insane, *especially* the night mode feature. I use the wide angle lens all the time, too. However, it's stupid expensive and would the iPhone 11 do 95% the job? Absolutely. FWIW, two phones ago I had an iPhone 7 which had a lower water resistance rating. I had 0 issues. Insane amounts of sweat, several drops in the lake, plenty of submersions. I upgraded to the iPhone XS that had a higher water resistance rating, and I had 3 sweat related failure. My iPhone 11 has an even better water resistance rating, and again, 0 issues.

I really liked their hiking in Europe from a few months back.

I’m super pumped about that phone too. I hate having to replace my phone, and with my iPhone 7 succumbing to planned obsolescence soon, I’ll sure as shit be getting this one for $399.

Data privacy and security is a serious topic that most people are total oblivious to. It's one of the reasons why I'll keep buying Apple products. You are not their product, their hardware/services are their product. You pay the "Apple Tax" so they don't have to sell your personal data for profit (like Google does). There is a reason why Apple is in the hot seat over their device encryption and lack of backdoors. They know that if a government backdoor exists, it'll be exploited by others. But, I also don't believe that there should be a government backdoor. Here's a good Last Week Tonight with Edward Snowden from a years ago. Snowden puts data privacy and government surveillance into a topic everyone can wrap their heads around....dick pics.
