The conditions at Elk are Fantastic. 10 trails open from the top, 2 more will open for the weekend probably. Both parks are now open and the surface tow is open in the big park. Groomed packed powder on all slopes. Upper Tunk is now groomed after about a week of being allowed to bump up. Temps were a brisk 18* up top when we started yesterday, but no wind and breaking sunshine for a "10" day. As usual on weekdays there were no crowds. I only saw one bus this whole season during the days. I imagine there were more school groups during the evening sessions. I haven't skied weekends so no comment on buses then, although overall weekend crowds have been reported as light. The Yukon Jack's were smooth sipping and the beer was cold... This morning is good. Looks and feels like winter. Conditions are 8/10. Best snow is on paradise. @JFskiDanand @Shadows Are somewhere. Important to note: RAZORS IS OPEN Switchback could be pushed out to go. NMDW is close to being ready to go. Lower Sidewinder needs more time. Sidewinder still snowless. Ski y’all tomorrow morning!7 points

Time to make this happen. Who's down and what day?? Thinking mid week, first or second week in Feb. @Rummy any tips on best day to go? Thinking a Wednesday maybe? Ideas? Thoughts? Funny Elk memes?2 points

The car I had before that was a 1999 Saturn station wagon, so the CRV feels like a Porsche in comparison! Haha can’t complain about that Saturn, hauled lots of kids on ski trips. Fun times.2 points

(Unpaid) NOAA forecast has the conversion from snow to sleet to freezing rain happening before sun up on Sunday. Kicker is some models still showing all snow in LV. But coming from philly no way that holds. I got the same deal from jersey so probably only Saturday for me. MLK I’m cape-bound2 points

Was just thinking about Elk day actually. I'll start an official thread as the spotlight of this particular thread should be my man Rummy. Happy birthday Rummy!2 points

Lots of family in town for Dad's 80th Birthday Celebration. So finding time to ski is tricky.2 points

@antman12 Find the Bavarian Manor and enjoy some on-draft German imports and a meat coma. Stay there until it stops snowing.2 points

Ill be there today and tomorrow morning. Sunday looks like the rain will be after midnight and changes back over later morning. Probably won’t be there but I’ll have to watch the weather if anything changes. Best time to ski would actually be Saturday night...2 points

Conditions were on a diet and Sugar Free Perfect...so I don't get the diabeeeeeeetis Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Hey All, It’s almost another weekend is anybody gonna be at Blue mountain the true mountain? Saturday is a definite for me..Sunday is up in the air...looks the the possibility of several hours of rain or ice Sunday morning..but it’s 48 hours away it could change. For those of you who haven’t been to Blue in awhile..you’ll be pleasently surprised by all the recent snowmaking.1 point

Any midweek day should be fine. Usually Fridays are the busiest of them, but still no trouble. I've got a doctor's appointment for the 8th, but I'll change it if that's the day that is chosen. I'll show you the "half-way" house where you'd be able to all get together inside the original lodge and set up your "parking lot" festivities in warmth by a fire (ski-in/ski-out). Hell I'll even smoke some ribs for the crew. Should be fun....1 point

This storm is a real shit stew but it is the perfect base for the real pay off which would be a real humdinger with this stuff on the ground.1 point

6" with an ice crust on top is how that epic ski day came to fruition a couple of years ago. It was like 2 snow storms, an ice storm, followed by a decent storm that allowed everything to be skiable.1 point
