  1. First few runs were above average then things seemed to sugar out a bit. Overall it was ok today condition wise but a fun day today none the less. I wasn't there but it sounds like it was better on Saturday The crowds really seemed to roll in around 9:30. Thanks to @enjoralasfor the delicious variety of pork and sausages. Lots of peeps in the house.

  2. Good day...switch was good in the morning but sugar by the last run. Coming soon and lazy were fun. Various meats, beers, and good time with PASRs in the lot.

  3. Wonderful morning. I thought the snow was pretty good. They make great snow on coming soon…and the ditch was open! Rode from 10-1230 and had a blasted.

  4. Skied 830-11 and it was quite nice. Everything they blew was groomed out and smooth. Couple boiler plates in spots they didn’t get to blow next to but overall nice. The VRBO host said no one was coming after us and so we could leave whenever which was a pleasant surprise. Came back to the cabin after skiing for a shower and took off for home after 12. Only 2.5 hours back to the LV which was a nice finish.

  7. Arrived 845, booted and to the ticket window shortly after. Ticket window line to redeem my Indy pass was painfully slow and told Boo to take a run it was so bad. Got her pass the day before from the kiosk but they said I could only do the day of. Fresh blown snow with a coating from nature overnight was a nice start. Couple whales on the trails but all the trails were half width. Less than half of the trails open. No lines and trails felt empty which was nice. The quad chair had the longest line at a minute and is a trip to get on. Up hill for most of it and then wasn’t expecting first conveyer belt quad. Wow. Couple warm up laps and then we tried to figure out how get to chair 5. Missed the connector trail but made it over to Mars Hill and had fun lapping that. Couple more off chair 4 and the quad before calling it for lunch. Dropped our skis off for a wax. $22 hot wax for me and $55 light tune for Boo. Took food back to the cabin from Taverna and not bad prices for food for a basic cafeteria. Back around 430 and the skis were ready to go. They opened a couple new trails like Zeus and Marathon since the morning so it was good to get a different lap. Debated going to the Steakhouse but ate at Trax again and the food is on point. Whole menu looks really good. Back at it in the morning for hopefully more pushed out snow and terrain. Debating a double dip to Blue at night just to finish the trip off right.

  8. Snow was pretty sticky this morning but otherwise a fantastic Saturday morning. 30* and the sun was blasting on the freshly made overnight snow. Guns went off around 10 and no waits in A and B lift till I left at 12. Fun new park set up as well.

  9. FACT: $98 to ski Blue today was a better deal than $89 to ski Montage or JFBB.

  10. goes to show, that when you go to Blue with low expectations, you can walk away surprised. Today was good. Solid 7.5, which really could be a little higher based on thinking it was gonna be about a 3. Thought today would be but

  12. Headed back out after the pretzel break but the rain didn’t let up. Temps kept dropping and it started to look like snow at the top but still a wintery mix. Stuck to to the gondola to stay dry but we were soaked through after about only 6.5k vert. Didn’t get to the longest run with hearing Skyeship was down but we did do Solitude for a long run out. Holy slow. Left at about 1:30 for Courtland. Little spicy with frozen slush on the road to start but smooth sailing after Albany. Favorite thing I saw on the drive was a dental office in an old train station in Greene, NY. Greek Peak in about 15 minutes and looks like 17° and blue skies.

  13. Woke up to thunder and lightening this morning which was sad but quit by the time we left. Hour ride to Killington which had a 30 minute delayed opening due to weather. Parked at Bear Mountain which had maybe 15 cars. 45° but expected to drop 20° in the next 5ish hours. Little trouble redeeming the tickets that Boo won but they figured it out and we were on the snow shortly after. No rain on the first lift but the skies opened up on our Skylark/LaunchPad/Bittersweet to the K1 Express first run. Already soaked so we’re grabbing a morning beverage at the Peak Lodge and waiting for the rain to move out.

  15. We left right from work yesterday and made it to Manchester from the LV in 4:29. No issues but did miss an exit for a 3 minute delay. Motel back porch hot tub was a perfect 104° and jumped right in after the drive. Arrived right at 9 to Magic and grabbed our wicket passes. Ticket lady did ask if the person I was with was a “advanced skier” as it was very firm to start. I reassured her that yes she is and it can’t be worse than Blue Mountain. First two runs were firm but nothing crazy. Currently 46° but feels cooler. Groomers turned to corn after an hour and everything was soft by 11. No double blacks open but single diamonds are thin and spicy. Grabbing lunch at Black Line Tavern and heading back out for an afternoon session. @Boo Bearordered a loaded baked potato and I went with a burger. Killington tomorrow.

  17. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 721am and in the house were Atomic Jeff, Toast, NMSki, JFDan, MBike mike, Schifdawg, Nancy, Enjorales, Nastar Glenn, Salty, Dirtwolf, Bethlehem ford crew and a lot of people from New York and New Jersey wearing the boots with the fur. First civilian chair and NMSkis son even got to ride first chair with us. First run challenge looked bad from the lift and I skied it anyway and it was solid cookies…that was the only bad run I skied. Nightmare to dreamweaver was nice cord and I skied that twice followed by two on coming soon which had nice chalky fresh blown manmade. Then went over to the new super summit safari six pack and hit up raceway to midway to lower Main Street and very nice and smooth. I skied switchback twice and got mad steezy air off the lip where connector crosses between upper upper switchback and upper switchback. I also skied a run lazy to the fall and was ok at the beginning but got bad around the corner. I hungout in the lot about two hours. I bet I got some sunburn cause the sun was so bright. I skipped beer today cause I have some work to do today. I actually just bought tomorrows beer at Sheetz. It’s rad they sell Voodoo ranger there and it’s a dollar less for a six pack than Weis markets. Ski some of you tomorrow.

  18. I believe Camelback passholders don't have to pay for parking nonsense, so I can't imagine Blue implenting that insanity. Any place that charges parking for loyal passholders loses my business by default. I'd rather quit skiing than pay to park anywhere in Pennsylvania.

  19. Possibly. They better not put the passes up for sale w/out announcing the pay for parking plans at the same time.

  20. Since you replied first it's yours if you want it. Just let me know when you'll be going. You should join us in the lot some weekend for some beer, pretzels and Yoo-Hoos. There may not be many weekends left

  21. I have not. Now that they've made the long journey to Cortland, NY to explore the mountain, maybe someday Mute, Ryan and also Pooh Bear will give me a tour of Greek Peak.

  27. When i was in College, me and 2 friends drove to Canada to go skiing, basically in an ice storm all up the east coast. Where ever it was, Tremblant, or Mt St Savoir, or whatever, the lady at the ticket window kept telling us "very fast skiing". After 1 run my buddy said "very fast skiing my ass......this is ice cubes on top of ice". Terrible trip for skiing, good trip for drinking, as the drinking age at least then was 18, and we were all under 21.

  28. At BC for a late afternoon/evening session...First couple of laps had the snow was really soft and creamy..Once the sun set things started to firm up on areas less traveled...Just skied stuff off of the F chair....They got some brown stuff showing through a few places....and it's gettin thin on Extreme...Skied for about an hour and a half and had a super good time....

  29. ROTD was definitely the first run down Coming Soon, pure velvet on top of cord. ROTD (Rumor Of The Day) from a reliable BMR person that pay for parking is definitely coming to Blue next year in some shape/form. Two tiers $15 & $20. Every visit. Probably kiosk. No word on whether or not season pass owners are exempt. Still in decision and planning stages at the moment. BMR people are up in arms. Maybe they'll weasel an exemption? How much is an Elk season pass again?
