Hey all. I'm back from from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. Arrived around 7:20 to guns blasting on the lower mountain. I managed to get first civilian chair and skied challenge while most of the others skied p diz. Conditions overall were decent. Not great but definitely not terrible. A bit slow as lots of the mountain came with a skif of manmade on top. Cold but the sun felt nice today. The parking lot today featured not one but two bald eagles at one point flying next to each other. Nice blue bird morning.8 points

Today was much better than I thought it would be. Good to see a bunch of the pasrs this weekend. Good to see the guns on as well. Not crowded at all either day.5 points

It was a fun weekend. They did a pretty good job dressing things up things up.First down Side had the spice of flat light and uneven terrain.Switch was more flat light.Sorta had to trust what you couldn't see.Mostly lapped MS side as conditions were pretty consistant.Went back to Side after 9 an it had gotten pretty thick.New man made and the wind made things feel slow, but still was a feel good morning. It feels like patronage has started to fall off...5 points

After S6, it was about 2 45...decided to hit another community t bar hill. Ascutney. T bar only runs like 450' vertical but you can skin up much higher if you want. Cool terrain, conditions surprisingly not too bad. Got 4 tbar laps in before they closed at 4....now at Treehouse in Deerfield for beers and pizza3 points

Saskadeba/Suicide Six...cool place but unfortunately all the trees runs and natural snow trails were closed due to the ice. Hit all the open runs in about an hour...did the face and one other run a second time and headed out. Very cool terrain for a small mountain, wish conditions were better for the trees3 points

Rode pico from 9 to 1. It was cold and sunny, conditions ranged from leftover powder to ice, but for the most part, the snow was good given the weather the past 2 days. Started off on Golden express, then over to the outpost pod, then some runs on the Summit express. Doozie off of outpost was a fun tree run. Also dipped into Pico glades. Never Summer had a demo tent so I rode their boards all morning. Got a bratwurst to go and ate at the car before heading to Saskadena Six3 points

The last 48 hours since Friday morning has not been great for me. By Friday night lots of swelling above my knee…I walked maybe 50 steps to the lobby to pick up my Uber eats and that was a chore. Sleeping was tough, minor depression and PTSD..Atomic Jeff said I’m dramatic, yeah maybe. Yesterday made an adventure to the vending machine and mustered up the strength to go to the mini market last night for Zyn, pretzels and some drinks…they also sell crutches in Uber eats. Today went to Patient first around 10am…nobody was there, had x rays, doctor thinks it’s some sort of sprain…wrapped up knee, gave me anti inflammatory prescription and I bought crutches…they suggested going to Walmart cause cheaper or borrowing from a friend..nah I didn’t want to hobble around Walmart. I also was taught how to use the crutches, never used them before. So my attitude is better now, trying to be positive, missing skiing sucks but I need to be better for day to day life. I’m supposed to help with deliveries tomorrow..I don’t know.2 points

Yeah I'm interested to check it out. Not a place I'd spend an entire day but it's only like 15 minutes out of my way between Pico and where I'm staying in MA tonight so I'll ride there for a bit2 points

Back to the hotel in Southern NH, I hung out for a bit and decided to get a brisket sandwich at 603 BBQ in Concord. Some of the best brisket I've had...just on a regular potato roll but I actually prefer that over a thick kaiser roll or whatever. Took my sandwich next door to Lithermans Limited brewing and had a pale ale with my sandwich. Then I hung out at Feathered Friends Brewing, which is a bird themed brewery I guess. Live music, dogs, pretty cool place. Chocolate peanut butter stout was really good, but all the beers were great. interesting artwork in the bathroom, especially the teabagging art. Trying to hit ski areas that I haven't been to, so tomorrow's plan is Pico until early afternoon and then maybe Saskadena Six for a few hours on Indy pass2 points

Damn dude Ascutney too ! That was a very cool hill, especially the dark side of the moon stuff but i had no idea they had a t bar going. VT environmentalists convinced the home owners after that shitty family had it and went bust to protect it. As far as i know zero development can occur there ever, not even a patrol shack.1 point

The six had good short tree shots back at least way back and out the back is a cow pasture kinda farm thing. They should have kept the name though I think, nobody comits suicide because of the name of a tiny ski resort in Woodstock.1 point

After panang curry and Thai spring rolls and browsing the thieves of the week. I drove the 20 minutes to Dartmouth skiway. Pretty crowded parking lot but no lift lines. The terrain there is pretty fun, but I only got to hit the Holts ledge side for 6 runs. Soft snow, kinda slow...Don Wardens was closed for racing. After one run, my back binding felt pretty loose. The ankle strap broke in half but the hard plastic part was still working. Made for some funky turns but it was raining at that point so I didn't bother going to get another board from the car. I'd like to get back here on a weekday and check out the rest of the trails, but looking at the map, Holts looked like more fun1 point

Super fun morning..Lapped TCS a few times...With no kooks standing at the bottom you could just hammer on through.MS side started to get slightly rowdy after 9,but still fun to ride.Switch was down hill racer all morning...Weather was fantastic and gave a good vibe to the morning..1 point

Today was way better than I thought and for a spring day super nice. It's a rare treat to be able to actually see the trails. While not every single square mm was mint I didn't think anything was bad and most of it was quite playful. If tomorrow is anything other than awesome/terrible I'll be shocked.1 point

I'll check it out later - I may actually do a similar trip to @toast21602 next month or early April. Montana Snowbowl or something in Missoula is on Indy and isn't terribly far from Spokane/Northern Idaho.1 point

Hey all, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was 20 degrees under mostly sunny sky’s. In the house was everybody except Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, TP4, Zonked, Toast, Root and Nancy. First run on Challenge was super nice almost western groomer, second run was similar..then Switchback was pretty nice although super dark. Lazy mile was alright and I enjoyed the left side of Nightmare to Dreamweaver park. A revisit to challenge and it got trashed in the first 45 minutes a pit of ice and cookies. They blew some snow on tuts lane, Widowmaker and I think chute and all those areas weren’t very good. Coming soon was decent and I did a full run on Burma which was good except one of the corners was porcelain boilerplate..I ended on lazy for ten runs by 945am. Fun parking lot and pleasent weather. All in all better than expected since they had all three high speeds going. It got super busy the last few runs and after I quit for the session. JADIP1 point

Nice morning, second chair on the quad. Challenge chair opened a few minutes earlier. First run was on challenge , nice but a few cookies, later lots more. Coming soon was nice early. Over to midway, Yikes! Cookie minefield. Lower main was a wind tunnel. Switch was great, a couple runs with Oz’s crew down sidewinder ( pretty nice) Nightmare was holding up the best so I spent the last 1/2 hr lapping that. 10:45 crowds were out to the gates. Main st chair was idle and Razors was closed for lighting work. Nice morning.1 point
