Not buying it not for the average everyday person. I feel like the cost of operating a ski resort has gone up more than 3% as well unless you’re Blue and you send your snowmakers off to camelback…merging ski resorts actually lowers costs because it creates economies of scale….Park city was able to operate during the Ski Patrollers strike because they brought in Scabs from other resorts… so radical patrollers from Big Boulder and Mount Snow could help avy bomb the Upper Left Scooch Prima Pineda Cornice to get the Outer Pluto Black hole pod open allowing access to the Heinous spigot spider monkey glades only accessed from the tower three Cyrus spruce dandelion dirty sanchez chutes @Johnny Law and @theprogram4 know park city well all the nooks and crannies and I might be going out on a limb here but it’s the crown jewel of the Epicski empire and where I wanna be…free parking is only a standup gondola away and I think @saltyant was there and it was radical. Also $699 for blue pass is a bargain once the price goes over $1,000 in about 2035 if inflation can keep this 3% we will either be space cowboys or hanging with that runaround Sue chick or using the chine Yuan as FIAT currency…so just gotta enjoy todays low prices.2 points

Thanks, I'm writing a procedure for next season and putting it in my ski boot bag so I don't have to deal with this shit again. When I leave Saturday my brahs with boot bags can go first and I'll do what they do2 points
-
@saltyant the camara adds 10 pounds and your jacket adds 30 wahahaha…I’m jealous..wish I was out there..when you get back we can talk about flying me and your sister to Cancun..she can bring two friends2 points

No, flew into Hayden, less than 30 min drive and we were gonna be out in town getting groceries anyway. The bag got left in Denver but SW put it on the next plane. Wasn't going to rent a car since the bus and condo shuttles are so good there, but for 5 of us to get round trip airport shuttle was gonna be $585 plus tips to the drivers/bag slingers, and the car was $640 all in, so made sense. If just Pops and I, we would have gotten a shuttle from the airport, and then I would have had them deliver them2 points

Thanks…I’m healing pretty well…the wrap they put around my knee really helped a lot..when I remove it in the shower I notice quite a difference. I didn’t need crutches today and even stopped at Wegners which no way I could do Friday-Monday.. Still real wonky getting into and out of car, I’ve accidently honked the horn a few times. Im optimistic I’ll be back at Blue maybe next week or the week after.2 points

Southwest lost my skis in Denver en route to Steamboat. Well, not lost them, they just didn't make the connection, and when I checked with the service desk they looked it up and knew right where they were, so it was no big deal. I was worried for a minute because I left everyone else to get bags while I got the rental car, and then went out to check out the rental car since they didn't have my car type and I had to make sure it was big enough, and while I was doing that they all came out with all the bags except the skis, so for a bit no one was watching for them. Was worried someone walked off with my bag since there was another double bag left behind. Was actually relieved to find out they never made the plane. There was another flight 4 hours later and they offered to deliver them to the condo, but since we had the rental car I drove back out to pick them up for a $250 voucher. Figured might as well.2 points

@saltyant I would do a ski trip with you and your brahs sometime…honestly I think it’s radical you can enjoy both group and solo trips..and have people to travel with….high five and have fun skiing tomorrow. You’re prob out cougar hunting which isn’t the play…you’re the prey…1 point

I’ve actually never had a hot toddy before but looks grate. Add hot water to the leftover Queso and you can make soup.1 point

Pretzel bites with a Hot Toddy. Only $28.96 and even got a few dollars off with my Epic Pass. @Ski2Live Live2Ski would be so proud of my thrifty spending at Vail. If only I shoved a mushy salami sandwich in my pocket I could have saved three fitty. And I didn't even get carded which was rad, while the next person in line did. That was sick not having to fish for my photo ID in my ski pants.1 point

Here we go! We ran into the same issue in Philly going out to Denver last week. United baggage UI software royally sucks donkey dick! There's no indication on the page that says you have to do anything special for ski and boot bags, so I just went on my merry way checking 1 bag, expecting it to ask me later whether they're skis/boot, but no. It never asked and never printed out a second luggage ticket. When I went to drop the bag off, they guy said there's an exception button at the bottom of the page. Can you make it any LESS obvious? He printed out a second bag ticket for boot bag. On the way back we thought we had it figured out. 1 bag checked, pushed the exception button, no I don't want free check my carry on. Kiosk starts flashing for attendant, probably for weight, as there's a scale right there). Attendant comes over, scans badge, pushes some button and walks away. One ticket gets printed! WTF??? Fight through crowd to get attendant back to get second ticket printed. How is this saving any time? Absolutely stupid! Get into Philly awaiting ski bag. Carousel comes to stop, ask attendant, no more bags. Slim & my ski bags nowhere to be found. Get in line with like 20 others from flight who also didn't get their skis. Go into office and attendant has a list of all our bags and checks off my name on the list, I see Slim's name there too. WTF? Skis end up being delivered next day at 11pm. Off to X to complain. Got $40 luggage fee refunded.1 point

I ate a burrito on Sunday when we arrived. It was grate, it reminded me of my local cultural food in Northeast PA and lessened my homesickness. I just eat a big breakfast and skip lunch usually. Maybe I'll put a cereal bar in my pocket. My brahs put sandwiches in their pockets but I think that sounds terrible. I don't want to eat a mushy sloppy mess. If I bring a sandwich to work I pack the loaf of bread, mustard, and meat separately and then make the sandwich when it's time to eat so it's fresh. It would be a challenge to ski with a load of bread.1 point

I ate some grate Mexican food in Vail. It reminded me of home. I haven't talked to any babies during this ski trip.1 point

Jeff says the buddy passes will carry over. But, many times a season pass renewal renders your pass ineffective, so i would be like a little hesitant that they would disappear as well. I know you wont be at Blue between now and the renewal date, but i went to guest services and turned my 2 buddy passes into RFID cards that i just then gave to the recipients.1 point

I renewed my pass at Valley guest service. They needed to see the email with the coupon. They entered some numbers and they took it off the cost of the pass.1 point

I believe she needs a separate account with her own email address. Then you would just transfer it from your account to her account. From there she should be able to redeem it. That said that process was glitchy up until like January. Not sure if they fixed it or not1 point

I went to Valley guest services and was done in like 5 min. They scanned my pass took my friends info and printed a card..1 point

Hey all. I'm back from from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. Arrived around 7:20 to guns blasting on the lower mountain. I managed to get first civilian chair and skied challenge while most of the others skied p diz. Conditions overall were decent. Not great but definitely not terrible. A bit slow as lots of the mountain came with a skif of manmade on top. Cold but the sun felt nice today. The parking lot today featured not one but two bald eagles at one point flying next to each other. Nice blue bird morning.1 point

Did a late afternoon drive by. TCS bumps got a refresh. I had a nice rhythm going then boilerplate in some spots. Main st was ok but lower main in the flat light was bizarre, almost like grinding a rail . Razors looked good but sucked, avoided the planet of the apes scarecrows on the big whale. The quad had a big white worm just after the loading area, the snow from peoples skis has fallen off forming a symmetrical hump. Guns were still going even though it was pretty warm.1 point

Super fun morning..Lapped TCS a few times...With no kooks standing at the bottom you could just hammer on through.MS side started to get slightly rowdy after 9,but still fun to ride.Switch was down hill racer all morning...Weather was fantastic and gave a good vibe to the morning..1 point

Today was way better than I thought and for a spring day super nice. It's a rare treat to be able to actually see the trails. While not every single square mm was mint I didn't think anything was bad and most of it was quite playful. If tomorrow is anything other than awesome/terrible I'll be shocked.1 point

Hey All, I’m back from another fun AM session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 830an and it was mostly cloudy with the temperature in the upper 30s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, C1er, Rodney, Oz, Bethlehem Ford crew and a handful of others. I began on the super summit safari six pack to Main Street which is now full width, they moved Barney’s bumps to Coming soon. Main Street was nice soft cord on the top half and a little firmer lower down, next was razors which was very good and good grooming, a little firmer than Main Street. Challenge was great hero cord for 2/3 of the way and right before falls got a little crumbly, falls is always pretty bad and a compression after the falls. I repeated Challenge then coming soon which wasn’t that good scrappy and firm and lower paradise was similar. Back to challenge and razors and razors had a good amount of Boilerplate and clouds increased which I think slowed down the melting. Back to the SSSS and I wanted the fresh cord on come around an X-ing..Main Street still ok until the bottom which was a pit of stiff crud. Last run I was gonna do switchback but a bunch of herbs were beginning on switch so I skied an empty lazy which was decent more winter like than spring to boardercross to Central Park to the men’s room to my car and now sitting in my car outside work rocking out to Ludacris and texts galore from office manager. Double dipped in the afternoon yesterday. Snow softened up across the mountain so the trails did get marginally better than they were at 9:30 but it was still pretty rough out there. Razors opened around 2 and the first two runs on it were fantastic but it too got rough pretty fast. Longest day at Blue so far for me.1 point

Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 825am and it was partly sunny with a temperature in the upper 30s with moderate winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, NMSki, Mark, Bethlehem ford crew minus Bethlehem ford guy, Oz, Airhead and some others. First run on Main Street was ok, a little crusty and a little soft..Challenge was solid cord but with every skier turned to straight cookies. Coming soon was decent and I skied that twice as was lazy mile. I returned to challenge later when the rest were on Sidewinder and it was so cookied up and I was telling myself ski on top of the snow not in it and a second later my ski got grabbed and I got twisted around for my first fall in two years. My calf/knee is sore but I don’t think it’s anything serious. When I left at 1030am the temperature was up to about 45 degrees.. Now back at work like a dork, already sold a tombstone over the phone. JADIP i forgot to take a picture so I’ll leave all y’all with this in honor of yesterdays date.0 points

15 minute wait on a Monday. I guess people are starting to find out about Vail. That ski the Rockies campaign in the 80s really paid off. did you ski any black or double blacks. Matt edge was the only one who liked my double black joke..0 points

You and Pops can hang out in the lot. Or at the bar up top, I'll let you use my mug. He fell out in CO and hurt his knee. Urgent care out there said nothing broken nothing torn, but he's going tomorrow to have it checked out.0 points

The last 48 hours since Friday morning has not been great for me. By Friday night lots of swelling above my knee…I walked maybe 50 steps to the lobby to pick up my Uber eats and that was a chore. Sleeping was tough, minor depression and PTSD..Atomic Jeff said I’m dramatic, yeah maybe. Yesterday made an adventure to the vending machine and mustered up the strength to go to the mini market last night for Zyn, pretzels and some drinks…they also sell crutches in Uber eats. Today went to Patient first around 10am…nobody was there, had x rays, doctor thinks it’s some sort of sprain…wrapped up knee, gave me anti inflammatory prescription and I bought crutches…they suggested going to Walmart cause cheaper or borrowing from a friend..nah I didn’t want to hobble around Walmart. I also was taught how to use the crutches, never used them before. So my attitude is better now, trying to be positive, missing skiing sucks but I need to be better for day to day life. I’m supposed to help with deliveries tomorrow..I don’t know.0 points
