Roundtop 1/13

In continuing the EPIC theme from last weekend, I stopped at Roundtop on my way home from a work trip to DC.  Figured it was only a few minutes off of 15, I might as well make some turns as I’ve never been there before.

Arrived at 4:30ish, got a spot next to the lift and enjoyed some beautiful conditions.  Snow was extremely grippy.  Lift lines were nonexistent.  Lighting wasn’t nearly as good as Blues.

I skied for an hour, am currently enjoying a beer, and enjoying the beautiful evening.

Lived in md for a few years in high school, ski’d both round top & liberty a few times. Nothing really to remember about them...

12 runs in so far this morning and have yet to wait in line. 100% open and all groomed. Now softening up but no bumps yet. Bluebird day. Good call for a holiday that would be super busy elsewhere.

Doesnt matter. Its not on one of his many multi mountain passes.

21 runs. No lines. Rode lift solo about a third of the time. Shots of Gunbarrel and Ramrod. Expect this is last non weekday for Gunbarrel as base not deep there and a couple days of rain in forecast. 

Glad to hear Blue was as empty must have been fun too.

Enjoyed RT yesterday. Lines not bad. Pretty much all but Gunbarrel open now and they are making snow on that.

Looked into a day trip to Roundtop. Have a family member out there. 85$ to ski a random Thursday??!! Are they crazy?
