Last night was awesome. Great conditions ... semi-soft, but super smooth. It was a beautiful evening to be out.

How many times have you been up?

I could rip DV groomers all day. Plenty of time to rest the legs on the 73 lifts.

Last day, back to Deer Valley. Not sure why you guys hate on this place, it’s actually really nice, and has amazing variety for all ski levels. Went all the way up to Empire Mountain and worked my way across the top. Met up with some other folks from the trip on Flagstaff Mountain, did some runs, then went over to Bald Mtn. for some runs. Did runs at the bottom when we got tired. This was a great trip, Utah is a beautiful place. The weather has been beautiful. Sunny except for Alta day, when it snowed all day. Will definitely return

Terrain is similar. Elk has better snow / grooming, less crowded. Blue has much better lifts.

fun nite at race clinic at blue mtn last nite. soft, spring snow conditions were in order. not ideal for racing, but made for some fun mogul skiing. they set a 20-meter gs course for us on widowmaker, and we were focusing on smooth, finessed turns with low to moderate edge angle and forward pressure. even still, the course was severely rutted after two or three times down. half-way through the nite they had us slip the hill and they reset the course. bumps on nightmare were nice, and barney's was fun, but getting some really deep troughs. apres was wings and guinness.

I've had good luck the first weekend in may every time i've been up there. Definitely don't need skins and touring setup, but I'd rather have my skis on the ground for as much of the climb as possible instead of my back. Probably cause I have heavy frame bindings on heavy, wide skis, though. Something 90-100 underfoot with a lighter binding would probably make packing em not nearly as bad. I have yet to actually get to the weather station at the summit, so that's my goal next time. Bowl is fun, but if there's enough coverage in the snowfields up top, that looks like it'd be super fun.

What the fuck? Can you not fucking read? I had one of these, made by Enjorales, in the parking lot last weekend. And pancakes, and some other wonderful stuff to boot. Last year there was Creme Brulee in the parking lot. You simply just dont get it. Not all of us will let our wallets dictate the experience of skiing as you do.

Sunny morning at the bluest and truest mountain in carbon county! The place is empty, the grooming is good, but the snow ranges from firm to sugar depending on when they groomed. Most importantly, the 6pack is running at full speed. Enjoy your day!

Well, seeing you in a racesuit would certainly qualify as fun, so don't write that idea off just yet.
