EdBacon Posted March 28, 2020 Author Report Posted March 28, 2020 The year we got no other snow except for one random dump in October. Great stuff! I've finally uploaded the full walk around: 9

EdBacon Posted April 4, 2020 Author Report Posted April 4, 2020 Anyone want to have a go at guessing what area this was?

PSUFrankenstein Posted April 4, 2020 Report Posted April 4, 2020 Judging by the Vineland Times, I'm guessing South Jersey somewhere

RidgeRacer Posted April 4, 2020 Report Posted April 4, 2020 It is in South Jersey. Is it Action Mountain or something like that? 1
EdBacon Posted April 4, 2020 Author Report Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) https://aux.avclub.com/new-jersey-s-action-park-offered-fun-and-injury-for-the-1798247003 This looks like it was a good time, but no its not that either. It's in South Jersey. Very south Jersey. It's basically on the southern edge of the pine barrens and it was a functioning alpine ski area. Edited April 4, 2020 by EdBacon 4

Looking back, it amazes me that they allowed it to be open at all.

To make it safer, we’d drink mass quantities of beer in the bar there prior to getting on the slide 1

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2020 Report Posted April 5, 2020 I first visited the camelback alpine slide when I went to camp log and twig...that dip was spicy. A few people in my group went off the track. I liked it so much for my birthday that’s where I wanted to go. 1
EdBacon Posted April 5, 2020 Author Report Posted April 5, 2020 (edited) Didn't they turn that into a trail for skiing? They did and it looks tamer than I thought it'd be. Edited April 5, 2020 by EdBacon 1
Schif Posted April 6, 2020 Report Posted April 6, 2020 Montage used to have an Alpine Slide too. I used to go there as a kid. That thing was taken out many years before Camelback pulled the plug on theirs.
