Popular Post AtomicSkier
The WFH situation has afforded me the ability to do something I’ve wanted to do. Spend at least a month in Colorado. One week in Telluride (with a day trip to Silverton) with @NMSKI and @Johnny Law, 4 weeks in Crested Butte, and a week in Aspen. After that, who knows. Today started that adventure. I departed 6:10am to dumping snow on 78. It was slow going for 30 miles or so. Finally broke free of that and set the cruise and relaxed. I had about 860 miles to cover to St Louis, my planned overnight stop. I had forgotten how beautiful the views from the PA turnpike are. Ohio is pretty flat, Indiana is a narrow state, and Illinois is just flat farmland. About 14 hours later, I crossed the mighty Mississippi and arrived in St Louis. Long day of driving, but I was in no rush. Stopped at least every two hours. Tomorrow’s destination is Denver to visit some friends. Should be at least an hour less driving tomorrow, but nothing really to look at. Might encounter some snow on my drive, but only an inch or two. Only picture I took today was at a random rest stop in Illinois of the car. It’s filthy, but kickin’ ass. 14 2
saltyant
TFTI. I had a lot of fun driving cross country. Ohio sucks, and Indiana and Illinois arent bad because they're relatively short. Kansas goes on forever, but I thought it was nice seeing just vast nothingness. Be sure to check out the Wizard of Oz museum along the way 1
Kyle
I went to Minnesota every summer for 4 years to play hockey and yeah, that drive through Ohio/Indiana/Illinois can be brutal. Nothing but crop for hundreds of miles with a few random buildings thrown in the mix. edit: this is also my favorite color BMW sprays at the moment. AtomicSkier
Sorry @Barb it was a long day. I’m already passed the halfway point of today’s drive, both in time and distances. 400 miles left to Denver, and ~5h45m remaining. I’ve been driving through a snow storm for the last 100+ miles but it was mostly blowing across the road and could still keep speeds up around 75-80. Clear of the weather now with the hammer down.

theprogram4
That’s almost as messed up as spending weeks begging Barb to drive 2.5 hours to blue, then immediate ditching her first run. PASRs pretend this didn’t happen but I remember 1
Barb
Ah! Yes, I remember this well. @theprogram4 I will always remember how you were so nice and waited for me!

You were one of the people who ditched Barb, then a few years later after she moved to Colorado, you decided you didn’t want to ditch her anymore and instead wanted to use her personal hot tub. theprogram4
That event still bothers me all these years later. Keep in mind, I was the only minor present, everyone else was grown adults and still pulled that fuck boy shit. I was wondering why the high school kid had a greater sense of decency than the grown adults present

Nothing at all amazing about doing the right thing and being a halfway decent human being, especially towards someone who’s given you, me, and alot of PASR’s free hookups over the years
