Today I visited and commemorated the hill near Lofty, PA that @GrilledSteezeSandwich skied down in 2008. I've been biking this road since 2014 and it's my main thoroughfare for southern routes. As I bike, I often thing of the historical events that took place on the hallowed grounds around me. Were there Apache and Tomahawk battles here? Did George Washington walk these grounds during the Revolutionary War? Did anyone from PASR ski here? Of course, the memories of these events often die along with those involved, but in this case the memory is now preserved on PASR and through this plaque for future posterity. While I was a sophomore in college, a legendary PASR poster drove miles and miles in search of white Perder and came only miles from my house to ski a little tiny, tiny hill with dangerous shrubs, rocks, and sticks, because he had such a passion for skiing. That is great and true dedication to the sport, and I hereby forever deem this hill Steeze Hill.5 points

Afternoon skin. Went to the top of Madonna II lift. Ugly enough that I skied about 300 yards hitting bottom about 25% of the time, next 100 or so was link 2 turns, side step for a bit, repeat. Last 100 or so I toted the skis down. If I was 130 lbs or if the trails were golf course fairways, it was skiable to the bottom of Madonna I lift. Legs felt great, lungs pretty good. I'm burning the Cochise's. Diagnosis: terminal slop.4 points

Guns should be shutting off shortly. It doesn’t look like much production on Vista but a solid start. I’m anxious to see the whales on main. What a great start to the season for their first go at blowing snow! Getting excited to be back at Blue!3 points

Malvern's the place to be. Malvern has a Target, many many single family homes, and a good Chinese place that does a lunch buffet. Malvern got a snow squall today and is where Schif's aunt lives. NMSki was in Malvern today, but Toast wasn't. TP4 is in Malvern now and will be tomorrow, and JFDan will be in Malvern on Monday morning. Indiggio almost took a job in Malvern, Justin quit a job in Malvern, and NMSki used to work in Malvern. Malvern is a nice place to meet friends for supper, and is probably a good location for an impromptu PASR night.3 points

You must really love your brother. I’m guessing he’s moms favorite since you always try to impress him.2 points

Because that’s where a steep hill was. RideDE likes to troll and say I don’t get after it anymore. I skied 70+ days last season and he rode like 8 days. Loser2 points

Had a late morning PT appt so couldn’t get up to Eldora for opening as I usually do. The canyon has been under construction for a long while and is supposed to continue until next summer. Mon-Thurs full closure 10-2. Friday’s it’s open so I didn’t think anything about delays. 4 different flag men stops and it took me an extra 40 min to get there. Snow was in bad shape lots of wind and no additional snow had the trails that were opened all scoured and ice. Ended up only doing 4 runs since it was so crappy. I am almost sorry I got the Ikon Pass since I mostly got it for Eldora. But dealing with that canyon construction is a real pain in the ass. Once Mary Jane opens I may start going up there more since it would only take an extra 30 min from my new Eldora commute time. Looks dry here for a while. We need a freshening up of snow. It looks like a business card again this year, I'd say approximately 3.5 x 2 inches, give or take a few millimeters.2 points

1st lap of the season this AM. Mellow skin and short meadow skip to test the surface. Came down wet n dense yesterday, dried out overnight with a nice fluffy finish. Got another inch this AM for a total of 5-6" at the house and prolly closer to 8-9" up top. Gonna try to get out this afternoon for a higher elevation lap. Too dark for pix this AM. My deck as of 8AM.2 points

They're just messing with you eaf. Vails offered was accepted on a funding basis only. They now own blue but didnt want to include it on their main list of resorts or offer Epic passes so as not to compete with the resorts they already bought here- big boulder and the like.1 point

Grading on a curve, I can't recall the last time I saw a Pocono slope that close to being covered with manmade snow on Nov 91 point

I'm actually mad that you would think that I would be intentionally nasty like that. I've tossed you likes lately to show my appreciation for your recent forum contributions and this is what I get for it? Wow.1 point

That was on the radio the other day and I didn’t even know it was U2 until I saw on the display so I switched the station. U2 is decent music to listen to if you’re in the mood to cut yourself.1 point

Never mind, I thought you were skiing in Hazleton with Ride Delaware ? for some reason. But that sounds epic!! WTGAI!! I tried skiing the hill where I live but getting back up in ski boots is way too exhausting.1 point
