Went to Winter Park for some uphill today. (Pic not me). Conditions were nice! It’s a weird vibe skinning at a resort. Lots of people whizzing by out of control, one guy wiped out near me. Still a good cardio workout, but not sure I would go back for it. Always nice to be outside no matter what. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

skiing on christmas is the best! Without any kids, I've had a riutal of skiing with my brother and his fiancé. We've done Wolf Creek, Alta, Loveland, and others. Crowds are low, especially in the morning. This year, hoping to ski Arapahoe Basin on Christmas Day before my blackout days kick in.

@toast21602 weather has been super dry and backcountry snow is pretty bad right now. There is snow moving in tonight through Saturday. I had planned to do a tour w a group on Sunday at Berthoud Pass but now rethinking that since everyone will be out right after the snow. Plus I70 seems to have some construction back ups that totally sucked today. @Mixilplix super easy going up a groomed run. Only hassle is you have to stick to the extreme side of the trail so when it starts to get steep you can’t make your own line and switchback up. Just have to embrace the suck and go straight up the fall line.

Bahahah and the skier chicks I’ve met in Jackson hole are badass. After the lifts close they go to yoga classes or make Kombucha..much to Atomic Jeff’s dismay they wanna hear about the Doug Lyfe. On the one gondola ride two 30something local chicks were all intrigued by chubby east coast tombstone selling non Hanukkah celebrating jew middle aged boy and Jeff said,”don’t get him started” lol

I would guess that they are operating under whatever class of business an amusement park or botanical garden is. Hersheypark and Longwood Gardens are both open

I was just at buckmans bought two new pairs of ski socks, two neck tubes and an on sale pair of low light Oakley A frames. It was busy in there.

Outdoor facilities and outdoor classes can continue, but all participants must wear face coverings in accordance with the Sec. of Health’s Updated Order Requiring Universal Face Coverings, including any subsequent amendments, and practice physical distancing requirements.

I don't think skiing is considered an outdoor gathering otherwise would be at 15% capacity before

I’ve never skied on Xmas day because Blue is always closed then and I don’t take ski trips that week cause it’s expensive everywhere. My uncle was a ski patroller at Jackson frost and he always worked Xmas day. They’d say Jewski lol

It’s the first time Burma road has been open on opening day since any of us started skiing. Lazy 1.6 kilometers has been open on opening day before.

I bought a new helmet - mine was really old too (probably close to a 2001 helmet). It was a Cyber Monday deal I think - I only paid $ 79 on Evo.com, but it's $ 130 now https://www.evo.com/helmets/smith-mission-mips-helmet#image=135799/713002/smith-mission-mips-helmet-.jpg I went cheap and did the wired Outdoor Tech chips helmet speakers...if they crap out then I'll get a wireless pair, but $ 10 for the speakers was cheap

Yeah, and we can all go on and on about it but nothing will change anyone's opinions on the situation. There are people who prioritize public health and there are people who prioritize the autonomy of a business. Is either wrong? Only in the views of the other. The BFD about all of this is that we are still allowed to play with our gravity sticks on man-made snow in a few days with virtually no restrictions that will impact us at Blue.
