  1. We already have our season (300") in. Base depth of 140, which is a new record I think. They had to extend the snow stake, anyway. Unfortunately, the body count is two so far, the second guy has not been found after a week of searching. I've been having a rough year, however, and not been out anywhere near as much as usual.

  3. Fair enough, Doug and root are right. I'm a piece of shit who deserved this injury. Anyway, big shout out to shadows, barb, toast, nmski, mbikeski, ant man, Sally, ridge, and anyone I forgot (my apologies). The good vibes you guys sent me means a lot and legit uplifted my spirits

  7. I'm trying to keep a glass half full attitude, which is not what I usually do: 1. I didn't die in an avalanche and cliff fall, so I got that going for me. 2. At least I got 1 full day out west, including a run I'll never forget 3. 2000/2001 was my first season, and this is only my second injury 4. I look out the window and see snow, which is better than rain 5. Probably will not need surgery 6. Still got to ride most of the season

  8. Of all people, who the fuck are you to say if my comment was genuine or not? Go back to jerking off and smoking up in your goddamn hotel room.

  15. Definitely going to get this pass next year. Pretty excited about it. It will force me to revisit NE which I haven’t been to in years. If I could get in two trips out west that would be great. At least one where I can hit multiple places, or five days at one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Just realized I can get my son a teen pass one more year. It goes by his age the date of purchase. Old pass would have been his age 11/1/18.

  17. Nobody can get to JFK in 2 hrs 8 mins. Google maps and gps’s dont acount for the fact that NYC is just the most fucked up place to drive in the world. Going to JFK to fly direct is conterproductive.

  18. No planning needed..booked airfare the other day and will wait a little to book rental car as rates are variable and are often the lowest a few weeks out. I'll probably stay at the silver inn again in silverthorne. It was something like $85-90 a night and it's a couple hundred yard walk to an Irish pub that has corned beer nachos and double jack and cokes for under $9 each.

  19. JFK is stupid far from here. And you can get cheap hotels in SLC.

  20. I skied Mammoth on July 3rd last summer. If they have the snow, they really commit to staying open. It's also a great spring-skiing option because they salt their snow, so you get soft, hero spring conditions without the sticky/grabby quality of most spring snow.

  21. Great! ill use my cheap pass and ride weekday nights and 8-10 on weekends and not worry about the crowds.

  26. You're scared you might like the RTMs. You probably secretly like them a little already, that's why you lash out at them so strongly. It's ok, man, ski preference is a rich tapestry, a broad, fluid spectrum of possibilities. There's no "right" ski to love, and this forum is a safe space to express your desires.

  28. I always refer to PASRs by their screen names. Sallycat it was super easy for me to find your identity just knowing you teach high school history at a local private school and also because you are FB friends with Indiggio. Years ago Nastar and beer league racing results used to be posted on PASR but it was stopped because a certain member didn't like his identity revealed. I have the least common last name..thankfully when somebody knows a google search of me all that comes up is the know your news carrier article from 1995 and that I'm a giant fucking troll.

  31. I always assumed he was short. Did you know Billy Joel is only 5'5? Chevy chase is one of the few celebrities I've seen and he's super tall. John Oates spends a lot of his time skiing Aspen according to Johnny style.

  36. I'm thinking of this. It really was a good season come back. Started terrible, then suddenly got a whole lot better, and Blue was sweetening this with a bunch of discount tickets. But then again, the thread's date is March, perhaps I should refresh my memory. It really felt back then that the season suddenly can go on into May.

  40. Saturday. Daylight savings is that weekend so we lose an hour of sleep going into Sunday, and since we get to the lot super early for mimosas, Saturday would be best.

  44. You'll like steamboat. It's primarily intermediate terrain and there's entire pods of easy blues on the upper mountain. Steamboat is too far from Denver to get real crowded.

  45. Did you deliver by bike? That's my dream job. I will make a concerted effort to get up/down to Blue one more time this season, but sounds like time is running out since you predicted their closure in 2 weeks. Yesterday the forecast was calling for 5-8 inches next weekend, but now it's changed to all r***.
