Take one for the team. Wear a mask in line, and on the chair with people you dont know, or may even those you do know. Dont be part of the problem, be part of the solution. Here is how its gonna play out. 4 people get on the six. 2 of those people are bad asses, and masks arent cool, so they take them off, and now the 2 other people on the chair arent comfortable with that situation, they dont call the cops or anything, but now they decide they dont want to ride up with others they dont know. That 1 chair just became 2. and it just extrapolates from there. Might as well just be putting singles on the chair from the get go. I'm just happy they plan on turning water and compressed air, into a snow like substance, and they will be spinning the lifts, you know, when they cooperate. the whole wearing of a mask for the lift line and ride up just really isnt going to be that difficult. If people could follow the guidelines that Blue sets out with, it would just make things go smoother for everyone from the get go.4 points

Blue used to have a T bar. Also, I hope it's stupidly cold this winter. Then everyone will want to keep their faces covered anyway.3 points

Still riding solo every left ride so I can smoke, drink, and keep my mask around my neck while I lay down and take a nap on the 6er for 8 minutes.3 points

A T bar at Blue would be a bigger shit show than the 6 can be at times.3 points

I think between wearing masks and being outside where it’s windy, 6 feet might be ideal but not absolutely necessary. In a bunch of the literature that our school district sent out, they refer to a 3 to 6 foot distance being acceptable, and that is indoors. I feel like a couple feet, wearing a mask and being outside is okay and if it’s not then we’re all fucked and might as well get sick and die right now and get it over with already.3 points

The trail wasn't crowed at all....Only time there was a lot of people was at Indian head.... I did have the shelter to myself....Thought it would be crowded cause it's really close to a parking lot... Pa Ski And Ride....But i guess you could look at it the other way too...I dunno... I guess I never really thought about it...2 points

Truth. My dad used to smoke a cig on the quad if we were spaced far enough apart. He also applied the same theory to smoking while skiing. Worked well until he wiped out pizza wedging down raceway and his cig nearly caught his jacket on fire during the yard sale.2 points

It might be hard for a business to justify voluntarily decreasing revenue while incurring the same expenses. If it sucks I'll consider skipping some weekends and using my vacation time to ski mid week like Monday or Tuesday mornings.2 points

Dont think it's gonna work that way... gonna be less skiing and more standing in lines this season, no doubt. The Main Street and Burma lifts might be more desirable, but of course everyone will have the same idea as me ...2 points

That might be worth the price of admission just to sit and watch people try to use it2 points

Here's a lunch break largemouth from Mill Valley today and the fly it ate...slow retrieval speed = strip the fly in a few feet, let it sink, repeat. Maybe try that - reel in a few cranks and let it sink each time. something like a marabou crappie jig would probably work for both sunnies and bass, at least at the Mill Valley pond. https://www.fishusa.com/Johnson-Beetle-Bou-Marabou-Jigs?quantity=1&L-Weight=333&L-Color1=105831 point

They will absolutely need both high speeds running so I really hope they got the bugs worked out over the summer so the crowds can be spread.1 point

I’m sure some people will have issues with that, it goes back to the argument it’s a leisure activity and everyone needs to do their best to think of the people around them. One thing is for sure, there will be a TON of verbal arguments over it this year and people causing a scene. edit: new page... suck it Doug1 point

When we say we're gonna be masked, are we saying a real mask, like the cloth or medical masks we're all wearing now, or are we saying a ski mask? I don't think ski masks are as effective. Most have breath holes in them. How will people respond when people they are riding with whip their masks off after the chair leaves the terminal? Because you know that's gonna happen.1 point

should have just installed a big ass T bar or rope tow all the way to the top. no need to worry about other people and double the skiing1 point

So... it is time to start our sessions again. It still gives you 3 months to get ready for opening day. The ski season is not much longer that that, so it would still help a LOT to get out here until the resorts open. All dates and times are subject to change. Please check park1260.com for the most up-to-date information on upcoming sessions.SAT SEPT 19 @ 1-4 PMSHRED SESHSAT SEPT 26 @ 1-4 PMSHRED SESHSAT OCT 3 @ 1-4 PMSHRED SESHSAT OCT 10 @ 1-4 PMSHRED SESHSAT OCT 17 @ 1-4 PMSAT SHRED SESHSAT OCT 24 @ 1-4 PMSAT SHRED SESHFRI OCT 30 @ 5-8 PMFRI NIGHT SESHSAT NOV 7 @ 1-4 PMSAT SHRED SESHSAT NOV 14 @ 1-4 PMSAT SHRED SESHSAT NOV 21 @ 1-4 PMSAT SHRED SESHSUN NOV 29 @ 5-8 PMMAYBE LAST 20 SESH!1 point
