Hey All, Its almost the start of the 2022-23 ski season with Blue mountain the true mountain opening on Root Friday. Looks like a whole mixed bag of weather and Freefall/coming soon/Barbs bush will be open. Who’s planning on skiing opening weekend at Blue the true?3 points

Burma and Main Street chairs at max capacity haul about 900 skiers per hour each but usually only one is running and stops a lot so I’m guessing more like 750 per hour if every chair had two people. A six pack can handle about 3,000 skiers per hour so a substantial increase in capacity. I really only expect all three high speeds to have significant lines late morning/early afternoon on the busiest of days. Having your pick of all three will be huge if all three are running.3 points

Can you post a trail map with opened trails on Facebook? Someone commented on Blue Mountain's Facebook page that they want one since the trails are extremely difficult to navigate.2 points

Blue went Full Send…it’s November 22nd right. Who’s gonna park at the top for first tracks on Burma Friday…so many options maybe enter from the Appalachian trail I can camp out with Dirtwolf and Matt Edge lol2 points

I don’t know if all y’all have noticed the pictures and drone video but Blue went full send on the snowmaking..eye of the tiger type shit. This is the stuff dreams are made of at least in terms of PA skiing. I’ll check back through the archives but this is the second November opening in the past four seasons with two years ago I believe 11/16 being the earliest. I’ll check back in the archives to see how many times blue has opened in November. The first Root Friday opening was in 2008 when Root and Tarpenhead burst out onto the Blue mountain/PASR scene straight out of Jersey..and I believe there’s been about 7 total November openings at Blue the true. I know when I was interviewed on WFMZ opening day 2019 I said,”this is bonus skiing” as Johnny law says,”anything before Martin Luther king day” is a bonus and also “if it’s dark more hours if the day it’s gonna get colder”…fucking legend!!!2 points

Typically the black diamonds are empty even on the busiest of days. But on the green circles and blue squares there are immense numbers of Jersey gapers that block the root, so I stay away from those. @RootDKJ root talk2 points

Pretty cool video showing the changes at JFBB. They did more than just replacing a ton of lifts. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1311420689606791 (facebook account not needed to watch) Hopefully vail will install lights at jack frost. Having to drive from one to another for night riding is stupid.2 points

Yeah that’s when I met my bro in laws family. I haven’t seen them since I was in Tahoe with them in 2011. I hate all of them. The Dad Ken is self righteous knowitall his sister Alana has fat tits, I called her Donkey tits and my bro in law wanted to assault me and his brother Nathan was an underage drunk and now is straight edge.2 points

All three days. If the weather is 90% chance of steady rain, likely no Sausage Sunday.1 point

I think they have margaritas. I remember seeing the menu and I believe it was open last season. and yes I like Pina Coladas..getting caught in the rain not so much unless the PASRs have a tent.1 point

Yeah but the runs will be crowded. That’s the main reason to arrive early and for the fresh cord and to yell Walt and Walt from the lift.1 point

Haha the area to the right of tubing I was thinking lacked snow isn’t even homestretch. It’s the learning hill they never use maybe valley school east.1 point

I don't think there's any chance they don't open on Friday. Forecast isn't looking super awful so far, chance of rain only 50%. Saturday forecast is currently clear during the day then rain beginning at night. Maybe they close Sunday for rain with 80-90% chance and more than half an inch of rain forecast. Hoping any forecast changes are for the better . . .1 point

Six pack was 06-07. The areas did so much business during the pandemic they have the Johnny cash for new lifts.1 point
