Hunter was empty yesterday. Quite an enjoyable day out on the hill with @GSSucks @Justo8484 and @Ty. Conditions were pretty damn good, too.

A very nice surprise this morning

Hmmm. This is very interesting. we could set up a rubric like the one they use for one of the rollercoaster ranking polls I used to give a shit about. In that one coasters gained points only by being ranked above other coasters by people who had ridden both. It was considered the most accurate and well respected poll because that system meant that coasters that were excellent but hadn’t had as many riders would rank generally where they deserved instead of it being a straight popularity contest

Dropped off my and Pops skis for a wax n edge, and snapped a couple. Mini -whales on valley school. Most of the valley snow is the base near the lift. Could see some snow up on the look out below intersection of Paradise and Stupid Name.

No crowds at all in AM and real nice conditions for fall. Rode first couple 6 pack chairs solo. Around 1130, after.my break, both lifts were down long enough - with line dispersed from 6 pack, that I decided to split. 6 top to bottom runs for 8800 feet on Hellgate and Belt Parkway wasn't bad for a day 1. Only took me 2:40 to get there. Much longer with traffic coming home.

The ones I like (pro tongue) are really stiff and I think heat is necessary. At least it was with my first set which I had done in a shop at Taos.

I’m super excited to do some skiing on Friday with everyone. Now I’m off to find my ski gear.

Tomorrow night looks like really good snowmaking weather..cold and dry and light winds. Overnight tonight is marginal but they may blow some later on. Anyway after tomorrow night theyll be locked and loaded for opening day and looks like nice weather for the opener..like mad Goldilocks nice!!!! High five for stoke pass it down.

@saltyant I need to find some new gear by Friday otherwise I’m gonna be wearing all my old gear which odds are will be the case.

Oh I remember you dropped your gift card off the lift. Did you ever retrieve it? I’m hoping to find some money this season on the group @Blue the true. Mrs. snowbunski always seems to see me from the lift when I’m retrieving money and she’s been known to heckle

Yeah they more you wear them, the better they form, especially wearing them spring skiing when everything really warms up.

With all the dealings that I’ve had with Intuition liners, I’ve been told to ski in them a few times then have the liner heat molded.

He can pick it up on the way to his boi's hotel house.

Don't Intuition liners also mold with body heat?,,,I have Intuitions in my Full Tilts and Vans ...never had them molded....never had any issues....but I'm sure some cases require it..

Also just remembered that having them done at a shop, they’ll have toe boxes that they can put on your feet to expand the liner in the toe area a little, if that’s an issue.

Snowing pretty hard across the pond at a couple of the EPL games…this is fun to watch.

According to Google maps it's about 210 miles from here...Belle is about 80 miles closer. Hunter 35 miles closer.. Time wise it's not as far off since blue knob is mostly cruising on 80.

PASR day at Blue Knob would be awesome...same with Greek Peak and maybe Montage

I've read about people doing them in the oven at like 200-250', but I've not actually tried it. You can get them done at Blue, but of course you'll pay for it.

Opening day..powder day..whistler..wow..OneCutMedia is rad and they ended the ski season early a second year in a row last year due to Covid.

I’d definitely be down to ride the Knob with some other PASRs so if it goes down, post up.

Than cancelled the race for winds. And showed the 2019 race instead without removing the “Live” bug from the corner. Got me for awhile.

Salty you know like 9-10 years ago Buckmans used to give a gift card valued at 10% of what you spent on season pass so if spent $550 you received a $55 gift card. I think it was smart because most aren’t only gonna go in there and spend $50-60 that’s like two pairs of socks. Many prob use it towards a larger ticket item or at least goggles or something. That was grate

I think they have big World Cup races there.

Surprisingly not crowded at hunter today

Went out for a tour today at Moffatt Tunnel. Had to carry our skis for about 1/2 mile before there was enough snow to put them on. At first it wasn’t so bad, but then it was just an asteroid field of rocks to dodge. We went about 1.7 miles in and it was not improving at all so we turned around. skied down part of the way w skins on to protect bases but it was no good. After 1/2 mile took off skis and put them back on our packs. Still counting it as my first day. All pics of my friend Ilise. this is a good one to show all they rocks
