The Sonic performed exceptionally well on my drive to Lake Placid. The tires I bought are really good and live up to their great reviews for winter performance. So I'll risk it this time for da perd. I'll just avoid my usual route which is crossing the Broad Mountain (Rt. 93), as that can be difficult in snow. and even has a runaway truck ramp like Wolf Creek Pass.

Does that way go through Jim Thorpe?

One day we will have a storm where I am not worried about the sleet line

Dont worry, I heard a rumour that the ice pellets wont impact Blue.

The Valentine's Day storm of 2007 was Armageddon in Hazleton. Power out for days, people trapped on the Interstates, grocery store shelves empty. I remember walking around the neighborhood hearing chainsaws and trees falling, and remember the distinct smell of the portable kerosene heater burning in the living room, trailer park neighbors huddled around for warmth.

I was in Bloomsburg for that one and it was a giant snow party. Had friends that were stuck on 80 for 24 hours and they didn’t have as much of a good time.

Less ice in Poconos, more in Philly (but still not til 1 pm and later)

Accuwesther dropped Philly to 2-4 inches which has me nervous.  I was hoping to come tomorrow afternoon and have hours of shoveling ahead

Confused... I love skiing in the snow but shoveling any more than 30 minutes makes me miserable
