GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 Hey All, It’s almost the start of another ski season. Blue blew snow Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Tonight is marginal snowmaking conditions but the following couple nights look decent along with a snowstorm with a predicted 1-14” of snow expected. It will be a nowcasting event. Opening day December 5th looks chilly..anybody gonna be at Blue the true for opening day or weekend? I’m planning on it likely be a 9am opening they had 8am opening last season to beat Jack Frost. Saturday I plan on skiing as well, I have a Xmas party Saturday night might not ski Sunday. A few weeks ago things looked grim but Blues aggressive snowmaking and a little help from Mother Nature looks to make for a solid start to the local ski season. high five for stoke pass it down 4

RidgeRacer Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 Friday, Saturday and probably Sunday. LFG!! 1 1
enjoralas Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 Assuming they pull it off, probably won't take off work Friday, but might head up after if trail lineup is decent, to say I skied opening day. Definitely Saturday. Sunday morning Grayson has am indoor soccer game so probably skip unless conditions and trails are too good to pass up 2

JFskiDan Posted December 2 Report Posted December 2 cant hate on this forecast. i like when they line up pretty close. lots of good snowmaking temps coming up. Opening this weekend is in the bag. Wax up your skis. or scrape off your storage wax. or just dig them out of the closet, but dont forget your poles. It will be interesting to see how they handle friday opening, as it looks like they could make snow from Thursday PM till Sat AM sometime. Hopefully they dont just open some narrow and thin trails just to open. Camelsack already beat them to open, so whatever. 2

They have been blowing lots, but as of yet, they havent had really good production temps. I think the offering for next weekend will be pretty decent.
