Awesome play this song…it won’t bring you down.

The monkees were my jam back in the day. True story...I was a wee one, but my parents took me to veterans stadium in 1986 (I think it was) to see them. Another true story...went to the Michael Jackson Victory tour also (83 or 84?) at JFK stadium.. I think I was 6. Lol I remember them both pretty well. Stay turned for "more crap about me that no one cares about but this is what happens when I'm stuck in the car waiting for my kid to finish volleyball practice."

I liked the Monkees cause it was on TV just like My three sons and leave it to beaver and Dennis the menace and happy days.  I always liked nostalgic stuff and luckily one of my best friends is about that Lyfe.  One of these days of doing Vegas with her because there’s a couple spots she wants to hit including pawn stars and a bar an old rock star hung out at.  Maybe spring break

Ditto.  It was The Monkees show and Banana Splits before heading in to afternoon kindergarten for graham crackers, recess and naps...

i went and saw them too, and it had to be the reunion tour around 1986.  i cant for the life of me remember where though.  wasnt at vets stadium.  for some reason i think it was in like Bryn Mawr.  Outdoors.  sat on the lawn.  very crowded.  Could have jumped a fence.

Was on the train with skis the other week so major life achievement.  California Zephyr from the combine factory in Nebraska to Chicago, pit stop at the art museum and almost got blown away off navy pier (genuinely worried my glasses would blow off), Lake Shore to Cleveland.  Put in my poor bid and somehow scored a roomette on the zephyr which convenient was the exact height and length of my skis.

We skied Snowy Range just over the border near Laramie while we were at the factory.  Pretty neat little area. It cracks me up because it was perfect nearly  champaign powder with just a rare slick spot here and there but boy were people complaining about the "ice" (must be nice). Also bombed the large pile of tornado debris in Grand Island with the xc skis which is the highest hill around.  With quite some speed actually.  Probably is at least 100ft tall.

Big year for trains we tallied the superlatives at work from last year's projects and I had something like 3000 rail miles last year.  Also had to go to city of so-called love yesterday and was able to make a swell loop Paoli>Jefferson on the Paoli local then on the way back 2nd st>69th st (nice) on the Frankford El, 69th>Villanova on the P&W, Villanova>Paoli on the paoli local.

🎵(You can't get to heaven on the Frankford El 'cause the Frankford El goes right to Frankford)🎵

This is awesome!  I’ve always been curious about a cross country Amtrak trip while you actually did it.  Any pics of the Roomette?  I still call paoli/thorndale the R5 lol
