Opening day roll call thread!!!

Hey All,

 

Blue is opening for the season on Saturday 11/16 at 9am. Anybody going to be there for the rope drop?  Another short off season under 7 months for me and under 6 months for some.  Great stuff.

I'm a maybe for Saturday, wife is out of town Sunday, so that's out.  Everyone in my house has been sick, so just depends on how things are going Friday night.  Is opening day usually crazy crowded?

Yes..so many factors will make it a shitshow this year.  They announced opening 5 days out, its not on a holiday(some don’t go Black Friday..due to work and family stuff), they’ll be one of the first open, lots of social and print media attention and the number one reason is they aren’t opening until 9am. 

 

Doesnt really matter it’s bonus skiing..ski a couple runs have a couple beers enjoy the high elevation sunshine.

I foresee a total shitshow.  All of Dougs reasons are spot on.  Should be interesting to say the least.

Maybe Sunday will be an 8am opening..maybe 830 who knows.  Yeah will be bright AF on the drive up.
