Blue Mountain - COVID-19 Update

Denver issued stay at home order yesterday and Boulder followed today. Starts at 5pm. I can’t get the stats on mountain towns/counties, but I get daily updates emailed from Crested Butte. As of yesterday Gunnison county had 36 cases (1death).  To compare, Boulder county had 39 cases, obviously Gunnison county is tiny compared to Boulder.

Wow that is surprising for how small Gunnison and the surrounding area is.

Still Rocking and Rolling here in Exton. As of now there are no plans to shut down our plant at all since we fall into the categories defined by the governor. We were all handed a letter to give to anyone that might stop us on the roads identifying us as essential employees.

Thankfully I'm all the way in a back corner of the building and don't really interact with many (if any) people throughout the day. I'm completely refusing to go down on the production floor at this point. There are way too many people down there in relatively close quarters.

Half of that population is on the blue route between the hours of 3pm and 6pm.

Ok, I’ll play the because-I-was-bored game too.
Union county, NJ
Population 540,000
105 sq miles
66 new cases confirmed YESTERDAY, 189 cases total

Testing is not yet widely available, so real number probably >1000.

None in Carbon county just yet. 43 however in neighboring Monroe.

We tease the people in Palmerton about being riddled with zinc, but it appears as though it works for them.

While that might be a nice attempt to acclimate to the #ZincieLife, it seems as though it takes years of inhaling toxic zinc dust to boost your immunity to COVID-19

I was gonna crush them up and snort them in hopes of giving my immune system a shock.

Just for fun:

Delco         564,696
Montco         826,075
Philly          1,584,138
           2,974,909

That's a lot of people in this little corner of the state.

Why do you think I sell so many tombstones in the philly area...we just don’t have that kind of population in the Lehigh valley.  Lehigh and Northampton counties combined is 600,000 also add Bucks county in as well with 628,000 people.  Glad you guys are looking up populations and land areas.  That’s something I always do.

How long did you go without spending money???

I spent a few bucks here and there, but just am trying not to spend on anything other than groceries, utilities, transportation and mortgage.  Its my wife's birthday, so spent a few bucks on some gifts as well.
