Thursday night forecast was calling for 6-10 at Gore, drove through rain until it turned to snow just south of Lake George. Drove through some Star Wars snow on the way to the hill Friday morning, only about 3” fell but first few freshly coated groomers were sublime, Lies opened up mid morning and was mad technical navigating wales , rocks and bumps. Mild temps, falling snow, low crowds and watching kids from all over the world huck their meat in the World University games made for a great day! Pico ski’d awesome today, 7or so inches groomed in for some early morning western groometish screamers before lapping summit glades au natural until legs and snow got beat up. Heard crowds at K were krazy, we had another day of country club skiing. Christened the new skis with a nice gash but as @indiggio says, outta the box and into the rocks ! Magic tomorrow on Indy Pass13 points

Hey all, Back from a fun session at True Mountain the Blue Mountain. In the house were AtomicSkier, BenM, DirtyWolf, Enjolras, JohnnyLaw, JFDan, Matt Edgerton, Mixilplix, Mute, Nastar Glen, Ryan, Poohbear, Pops, PSUFly, TP4, and many many many others. First run down The Trail Coming Soon was sick, but the bottom of P-Diz was showing early signs of becoming a sugary wasteland. Second run down NMDW was the worst run I've done this season. After 2 runs hiked the tower hill which was infinitely better than skiing today and hung out in the parking lot. JADIP WTGAI9 points

Today had lots of sugar but there is none to coat conditions. Shit is bad and that snow is mostly rotten ice pellets. Midway to lower main wasn't too bad but ROTD is whatever took you back to the lot. I always love skiing and will keep showing up no matter conditions but imagine your just a normal pleeb who pays for that and then just goes home. Absolute worst case the skiing sucks but I drink dank beers and laugh my ass off. I do hope winter makes a return post haste, I'm getting quite antsy in the pantsy but the pasr crew redeemed an otherwise shit fuck snow kinda weekend.8 points

We rolled the dice on Nightweaver, so lined up at the quad first thing, hoping to get something worthwhile and it paid off as we had experienced some of the best man-made snow Blue had, groomed to near perfection. It was so good we decided to double-dip which turned out to be one time too many as by the second run it had gone to absolute total carved up shit. Oh well… Went looking near and far for something good, but only found sugar everywhere. The only saving grace we found was the right-side ridge of Coming Soon. You could go all the way to the grass, but there was a huge stone lurking underneath the thin skiff of sugar and if you weren’t aware you’d come away with some scars. Just another day in the sugary paradise… Currently flurrying on the webcams and sleeting here in H-town.5 points

Yeah, conditions weren't great but beers in the parking lot never disappoint. New lift wasn't running at least until late morning, but at least the O.G. 6 pack opened by like 8 305 points

Made the drive up yesterday which was pretty spicy the last hour or so due to snow. They reported 9 inches in the last 24 hours and it was much needed. The mountain skied great with the natural snow groomed in and we even found a little bit of fresh powder. Thin cover in a lot of places but that was to be expected. I don’t know the mountain all that well, but we really cruised all over. Found out that our ikon passes worked in the fast track line too which was huge. Saved us hours of lift lines on a busy day. We skied right on every lift like a bunch of little bitches while everyone else was waiting in huge lift lines. It was great. Tomorrow I think we’ll ski Stratton.5 points

Super cool pictures, the escarpment Blue sits on goes for 150 miles or so and becomes the Kittatiny Mtns in NJ and the Gunks in NY. It may seem pedestrian but it's actually pretty interesting geologically and we learned metric fuck tons in general from the whole coal dealio and where PA got folded.3 points

Quoted for truth. First run of day on nightweaver was great, second run of day not so much lol3 points

No coupon and just me - that is their Sunday Nt rate for a room with a queen bed. Half a mile walk to center of Tannersville - so I will leave car parked while I find a place to get food and drink while rooting against the Cowboys.3 points

Supposed to get 8-12" at Hunter through tomorrow AM. In a $65 room at Snowed Inn 5 miles from Mt to get the freshies. Got 6 runs in at the end of day today before checking in. No lines at end of a Sunday - skipped the crowded part of the day as I was as coming up largely for tomorrow. Nice to see Montage likely to get 4-6" of base building precip as I plan to go there next weekend with my girls. It's finally winter within a short drive.3 points

At one point I could see Camelback, Blue, BB and JF at the same time (turning my head around). We truly live in a cool area3 points

Grate to see you'se guys today. It must have been amazing to hear the sheer power of the Rotax 912ULS 100 HP engine as I went full power over the lot. Flew over 6 ski resorts today - Blue, Shawnee, Camelback, Big Boulder, Jack Frost, and Eagle Rock. Was going to Bear Creek but decided to save a few dollars and skip it since I saw it off in the distance. Sick bird!3 points

Be happy we have a ski season. I’ve said it before one of these winters we likely won’t have local skiing. If not for the two cold spells in November and December that would be the case this season.2 points

It's a nice clean room and a homey place. Bed feels comfortable. I will be back here again. 6 bedrooms actually. $80 for the ones with a twin bed in addition to a queen bed.1 point

Maybe some decent snowfall tonight in the poconos. When I left work at 4 it was 40 degrees and it dropped to 37 on my 2 mile drive to wegmans, now it’s sleeting.1 point

The other saving grace for the day was riding the quad overtop the college racers and checking out the Columbia judge in her white pants at the bottom of Razors as well as all the fit female racers in their airbrushed-on ski tights!1 point

Your timing is impeccable, that's gotta be one of the better cycles all year so far in the NE. Love Pico, lotta racer types but A&B slope are awesome if it's super windy and the glades off the peak chair are dope.1 point

NMDW is my fav trail. it wasnt great today, but i figure even a bad NMDW is better than no NMDW, which i know when they put those big stupid bumps on it, we can still ski it, but the flow is gone once they do that. Shicola Chute-midway was probably the best run. We determined you cannot see Cuzi's cabin from the new lift. @AtomicSkier @GrilledSteezeSandwich @mute1080......if this verifies......yeehaw!1 point

They may have made extra money selling only 8 hour tickets..for all the complainers who didn’t go a lot of people shelled out way more Johnny cash to experience a taste of winter in snowless PA. I feel like temporarily eliminating the 4 hour pass option is bad for customer goodwill along with charging season pass holders $20 if they forget their pass. Heck I’ve been using the same pass since 2017-18 season I’m not paying $20.1 point
