Best day at blue all season, what used to be an hr but is now 1 1/2 hr drive became 2 1/2 but it was worth it. Everything is good but pdis was an absolute carpet, almost silent skiing which is rare at blue. Lazy was efortless arc and park as it was a hair slow but still most excellent. Crowds weren't bad first thing but they were definitely picking up throughout the morning. No matter my age there is still something about waking up to snow, the bizarre weirdness of it, the sublime beauty and the transformative nature but even that is not as good as showing up to the hill and it actually looks like skiing.14 points

Made it up for the first hour. Roads weren’t bad, most of the people driving on them were the biggest delay. First Falls of the year was pleasant surprise. We all seemed to have to same thought to try and pop off the top but there is zero lip. Nice to have trails getting wider and people able to give each other space.12 points

Rode from 9:30-2:30. Very fun riding natural snow. Like Jlaw said, being in the ambience of natural snow is great. Said hi to toast on the way out. Drive took much longer than usual as lots of traffic on 30 bypass and northeast extension. Roads were surprisingly bad in chester county, surprisingly good in Montgomery county, and ok in Lehigh valley. Luckily the focus is a beast in the snow7 points

Becky boo and I made it up around 1030 this morning. Four short runs later little one was ready to go. She was discouraged by the scrape spots she kept hitting on lazy. I had fun playing off to the side though. Headed back up for adults only session.6 points

Great ski day. Low lines, mini pow day. Main Street still had its ice softballs and crud, made carving a pain. Freefall was excellent, no popping off the lip of falls, but the snow was overall good and everyone in a good mood5 points

Condition report list Falls as open today, so that's nice. Nice to be able to use it from Lazy to avoid the choke on Shuttle from now on4 points

If the snow is light and fluffy at Blue like it is at my house, today should be a good snow sports day.3 points

Outside of foot injuries or similar I'll never understand wearing shoes in your own house. It's your house don't you want to be comfortable? Never mind that shoes are legit dirty.3 points

I would hope they're pushing at their capacity to make snow this week. What a waste if they're not.2 points

I bought my Crosstrek from the same place in Allentown. They delivered it to my trailer near MacAdoodle which was rad. I wouldn't want to go back to a low clearance vehicle or even worse a Chevy ever again.2 points

No sugar but plenty of scrap spots and the good snow was all rollers. I would have been happy with it being bumped up but I guess we didn’t get enough snow. Blowing on Chute and Widowmaker was noticeably new to me while still hitting the same trails they had going this morning1 point

Yeah, and it was actually nice. They had the guns blasting all day. Mostly on Razors. Gotta keep the race team happy. It was nice to see snow on Sidewinder, but no guns going on that trail☹️1 point

Awesome I know how to change the time on my car now without having to watch a YouTube video. It’s radical. I also like trains and dancing.1 point

I don't pay $69 to do things I can do myself in little time. Instead of paying the maintenance area to change my A/C filter, I bought the filter for $20 and installed it myself by watching a Youtube video. It took 5 minutes and next time will take 2 minutes and 30 seconds since I know what to do now.1 point

I don’t care about stats right now. I’m focused on making sure my car, body and business don’t fall apart. Leafy green vegetables and no booze tonight maybe a little spaghetti yay1 point

@GrilledSteezeSandwich I forgot to update my stats until just now and didn't have Blue Mountain ski slope hill stations uploaded to the Stats Page for the calendar date of Monday, January 15th, 2024. I can't believe you forgot to remind me. Fortunately my stats are now up to date so @toastman doesn't have to worry.1 point

As long as Jerry Dickinson posts I’ll respond. He needs to get to 1,000 posts before people will buy from him.1 point

I fully expected my kids to have to do a remote learning day today, but they actually gave them a traditional snow day. Pleasant surprise, since I certainly didn't feel like dealing with getting them through whatever they were supposed to do during the day while I was working after I got done with that.1 point

My one teacher friend has a flex day today and she’s working on IEPs, sounds fun. My delivery guy is out plowing today so I was stuck shoveling here…1 point

Nice day today. Main first run, especially upper was nearly a western groomer. Everything was decent and there really wasn't much in the way of crowds to speak of. What's most impressive though is the massive amount of snow they were able to crank out with actual cold weather. Come around looked nearly ready. A huge whale on falls and even a few whales on razors. New terrain incoming very soon.1 point

That's rad. I hung with Matt Edge in the lower lot today with Schiffdawg for 20 minutes and drank some hot coffee which was grate in the icy cold weather. It was a very low key PASR day in the lot with no one around when I returned to my car at 10:15.1 point

One of the first times me and Matt Edge hungout together was MLK 2015 back when he had his charger or challenger some sort of badass ride before the Venza. It was the typical MLK day, dead for opening bell but got busy but not presidents weekend busy or Shitshow Sunday Stupid… We had a beer or two in lower lot and skied some more then he was parked in upper lot so went to his car and had an ice cold stone IPA… Today I’m just happy I walked over 2,000 steps which is progress..could be some light and dry Pow pow coming in overnight wooo1 point

Yikes! I'm forever barefoot. I don't know what I'd do if I had to wear something all the time, even if it were my Crocs.1 point

@MattEDGE was getting after it on Main Street. Saw him ripping down several times and getting some mad air. Saw @ridge a few times also. I didnt care for the lone Snow gun on Main St so I preferred Midway which was niiice, especially when the sun hit it. TCS was as hard as a brick.1 point

I had that this summer, it’s terrible! 3 rounds of cortisone shots, a break from hiking and from now until eternity; no barefoot walking. Always have to have slippers or crocs on inside.1 point

Just got back from a FOMO short afternoon sesh. Crowds were up but the snow was still pretty decent with the scraped off areas in spots. Upper Main had some really nice sugar pies you could kind of float your nose through like pow and the guns at the midway intersection made for some light fluff still even mid day. All the lip hitters in the parks kind of mushed them all into sugar pyramids. Not my cup of tea so I pretty much lapped everything but Burma with a few Upper Main repeats and called it. Way better crowd control this busy day! All in all JADIP at Blue The True.1 point
