We decided to check out Buttermilk today. Glad we did. We had a great time on super smooth corn. Spring skiing at its best...and our own private mountain. Views from the top are awesome.

Fun day at Highlands. We skied some stuff both of us never have before. Again...our own private mountain. Skied pretty much until close and followed it up with Aspen Brewing Co IPA and a spicy chicken and bacon pizza from Highlands Pizza. JADIP.

Ice Coast special. A skiff of snow over ice. Hold onto your fillings on the ungroomed runs.

i just spent 10 minutes searching for a good GTFO pic.

fuck it

Sun destroys the snow quality. It's short sighted to enjoy the sun, it just softens things during the day (nice) but the sun goes down, stuff freezes into hard ridges that only a groomer can fix. Or a foot of snow. Plus there are a ton of "I only ski when I can see" types on the slopes getting in my way.

sorry it's a crappy i-phone 3 picture, no camera this weekend.

Best day riding of the year for me yesterday, no crowds, good base (the best all year), lovely "spring" conditions, 50+ degrees, blue skies. Spent most of the day on Headwall, Granite and Siberia.

Gotta love California, my weekend consisted of Saturday riding my bike on a 50 miler through the hills and vineyards around Morgan Hill, Sunday Easter brunch (outside) in town and all the other easter stuff with the kids before driving to Tahoe, Monday Riding open to close.

Closing day. Survived the year but almost didn't survive the parking lot. Landed on my head, now sporting a swollen face and two black eyes.
