They could call it “Taint.” Cause using a Razor in that area is always a Challenge.5 points

IDK. I'm not sure anyone is judging ones style or ability; moreso the morphing of skiing into a cost / benefit analysis ad nauseum. It's obviously ok to to discuss and share deals; but when skiing is constantly talked about as if it were some sort of IRS publication thread after thread, people (especially die hards on a ski forum) are gonna be put off.5 points

How someone gets to your age with such little understanding is beyond me. Life is not about maximizing roi, money itself is nothing more than a tool, a group delusion we all participate in. Its certainly your right to take such an accountants view of buying a pass but ultimatley its something you can't understand and what makes you a shitty skier. Skiing is not about edge angles and turn radius, those things are actually simple. Skiing isnt from the mind but from the soul. You can think all day about laying arcs and nothing happens, it's a doing and like Zen Buddhism says doing and thinking aren't the same thing. To you the lot is a place to get some free meat but for us it's the equivalent of the town square. A place where like minded individuals although different in many ways can come together to have a good time. Other people that ski blue 3 times a week and can talk for five minutes about lower main st. Community, our tribe, now that is pretty rare in this world, infinitely rarer than a thousand bucks So no slightly cheaper access to mtns I already have access to is not worth that community but based on the way you ski that's not something you'll be able to understand. Its passionless, ski by numbers.5 points

Decided to pull the trigger in the Zelda’s. Every shop in town is out of stock. The place I rented them from gave me a really good deal on the demos with skins. At the very least now I can go play around in the snow whenever I want. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk4 points

Nice sunny morning at Blue. I got there at 930 to find only the Quad running. Later I learned that the Six was running but needed maintenance. Snow was good, smooth grippy. Razors was my ROTD with Sidewinder a close 2nd. Never crowded. The nice warm sun was the highlights of the day. I did 16 runs and left. I’m happy to see SP being ultra cautious with the markers [emoji106] Almost killed the guy taking a break just below the lip. Popped off a little air and landed about a foot off hit tails. Give it a whirl on AZ and see what the response is then. Better yet try TGR. I'm sure they'll provide loads of helpful advice.3 points

They should name the bumps so they can have 40 trails for at least a couple weeks. They could call it Razor Burn2 points

I wouldn’t blame the person who hit me. I was also 15 feet from the bottom, not 15 feet from the top. And the slope was moguled to shit, and not smooth cord. So yeah.2 points

They didn’t have to sedate you to scan your cat, did they? Just sayin’, it might not have been the medication . . .2 points

What an absolutely gorgeous evening out here. No buses, low crowds, spring like snow... Choppy in spots. Fast in others. Great night2 points

[sigh] Apparently I suck at joking. I did buy the pass, did pay $429 for it and tried to make a joke about giving BM my high approval of raising the prices, since now I don't really care whether the qualities are limited or not anymore. Thanks for the Rag heads up. The SkiFreak has already christened me an Elf, so there.1 point

I’ll bring a bottle of Champagne for breakfast, snacks, a great personality, and some games. I’ve got cornhole, washers, and spikeball. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

its funny on here seeing people who dont have kids acting like it is some easy task to get elementary school aged children up and at the mountain for opening1 point

Decided on all 3 passes if you guys want to continue the pass discussion. And I expect I get up earlier to make it on the snow by 830 with 2 kids than many of you do to get on the snow at 8. Not that there is any powder to be gotten 90% of days and I find no real appeal to "fresh cord"1 point

I’m planning on a brisket and some pulled pork, some hanger steak. Some sweet Italian sausage. Probably some onions for the sausages since I have the flattop. Some sort of flatbread. Maybe some other assorted goodies. Pancakes and probably eggs for breakfast, again, flattop. Creme brûlée for dessert. My friend Jeremy is bringing some sort of marinated chicken for the grill. I’ll have the usual grill and the new flattop, as well as the little smoker cabinet. Probably won’t have the Sous vide in the lot. Haven’t pulled the trigger on a generator, haven’t been able to justify the expense to myself yet, lol. Will have a couple 6 foot tables and a 10 x 12 ez up which should guarantee a rain free event. should I bring the cornhole boards?1 point

Should we start discussing menu items and who is bringing what? I know Enjo has a new flat top that i for one am very excited about seeing some breakfast items on.1 point

We decided not to do the hut trip. I think if not for this latest storm things would be ok. Vail area getting 10-16" tonight through Thursday morning. Avalanche danger forecast is being elevated tomorrow back up to a 4/5 (high). But, since I now have my own touring setup we are going to go back to RMNP one of the days to play around.1 point

You do not want Vail or any other corporation buy Blue......Everything will change... I was riding at BC/Doe Mountain ever since they opened it to snowboarding...Taught there for like 13 years.... Doe Mountain was a total shit hole by anybodies standards....but it was ours....You could pretty much do whatever you wanted to. Kinda what you guys have at Blue When Doe Mountain got sold, everything changed...Sure the snow was way better, but way more people...way more expensive...cameras everywhere...No more fun....It totally harshed our buzz... So....You do not want Blue to be sold....Just my two cents... .1 point

Just sip beer and make sure no one steals the smoker/grill/griddle/possible generator and sous vide1 point

Oh good rumors take off... If anyone noticed at the top of the quad there's a giant wooden totem pole gateway arch thing that is foreshadowing a large expansion into a different zone.1 point

just cause you are sidelined from riding doesnt mean you skip the end of season party. You wont be the first person to attend with hardware to keep body parts together.1 point
